Yellow vests protesters gathered on Saturday near HM Prison Belmarsh to support WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and condemn the extradition hearing against the whistleblower.
The protest comes two days after Westminster Magistrates' Court in London decided to postpone the hearings on Assange's extradition to the United States from February to May.

Ending federal protection of waterways and wetlands will benefit farmers says President Trump
Agribusinesses will no longer be restricted from moving certain types of water on their private property after the Trump administration decided to lift federal protection of streams and wetlands.
President Donald Trump confirmed the Waters of the United States Rule, which the previous Barack Obama administration approved back in 2015, has been terminated. All bodies of water will no longer fall under U.S. federal jurisdiction and be enforced by the Environmental Protection Agency.
“This rule gave bureaucrats virtually unlimited authority to regulate stock tanks, drainage ditches, and isolated ponds as navigable waterways and navigable water,” the president told the American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention and Trade Show in Austin, Texas, on Jan. 19.
President Trump gave one extreme example where a small puddle on a farm was considered to be a protected lake under the rule.

‘Direct Communist Censorship’: Democrats Seek to Criminalize Free Speech in Virginia
“The Democrats are trying to set up special rules exclusive to the ruling elite class, to protect themselves from criticism,” Tina Freitas, wife of Republican delegate Nick Freitas, warned on her Facebook account Tuesday night, Jan. 21.
The veteran’s wife posted the statement after Democratic delegate Jeffrey M. Bourne last week introduced a controversial bill that would seek to penalize the growing wave of criticism against Gov. Ralph Northam and other state officials for pushing a gun ban that runs counter to the Second Amendment to the Constitution.
“Wow, now they’re going after the First Amendment,” Tina Freitas warned, referring to the section of the Constitution that protects free speech. “Is the Governor Infanticide/Ku Klux Klan member trying to evade responsibility? We will no longer be allowed to demand justice for the alleged victims of the violations committed by Lieutenant Governor Fairfax,” she added.
“This is direct Communist censorship!”She said, pointing to the Democrats’ Bill 1627, which “provides that certain crimes involving threats and harassment can be prosecuted in the city of Richmond if the victim is a governor, a governor-elect, a lieutenant governor, a lieutenant governor-elect, an attorney general or an elected attorney general, a member or employee of the General Assembly, a judge of the Virginia Supreme Court, or a judge of the Virginia Court of Appeals,” giving them more rights than other citizens.

Number of Californians moving to the Republican state of Texas soars more than 33% in 2018
Thirty-six percent more Californians moved to live in Texas in 2018 in the latest migration count according to research by the Dallas Morning News reporting on Jan. 23.
According to the News, the Texas Association of Realtors reported that more than 86,000 Californians moved to Texas in 2018, placing the state in second place nationally in welcoming new residents, only behind Florida, the favorite destination of American retirees.
According to the data, these new residents are coming from Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, New York-Newark-Jersey City, and Chicago, places governed by the Democratic Party for the most part. “In addition to its business-friendly environment, no state income taxes and an abundance of jobs, land and opportunity, Texas is known for its diverse and friendly spirit and culture,” said Cindi Bulla, president of Texas Realtors, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbot wanted to warn newcomers on Twitter: “For Californians moving to Texas: remember those high taxes, onerous regulations, and the advanced socialist agenda in California? We don’t believe in that,” he said.
“We believe in less government and more individual freedom. If you agree with that, you’ll fit right in,” he added.

Administration enforcing federal law AGAINST California
State could lose funding for discriminating against abortion foes
The Trump administration is moving to enforce against California the Weldon Amendment, which removes federal funding from states that require all health-insurance plans to cover abortion.
The Department of Health and Human Services has issued a notice of violation against California, HHS Secretary Alex Azar said at the Family Research Council's ProLifeCon Digital Action Summit.
The Weldon Amendment, which has been in every federal HHS appropriations bill since 2005, prohibits federal funds "from going to states that discriminate against any health care entity which does not pay for or provide coverage for abortions."
