Jon Voight is standing by President Trump.
The 81-year-old actor and longtime Trump supporter asked his followers for "highest prayers" for the president amid the impeachment trial in a new Twitter video Friday.
"We call upon our highest prayers and ask Jesus, Moses, and all saints to save the truth that has been taken down by these cruel individuals of the left and ask God to place his hands upon this nation of the United States of America and bless and protect the truth for our President Donald Trump, so he can continue his legacy as one of our greatest presidents," said Voight, the father of actress Angelina Jolie.
In his latest politically charged video, Voight called out "the radical left" for their "filthy lies and distortions of the mighty truths that have been written," adding that they are a "danger" to Trump.
The "Ray Donovan" star called the impeachment proceedings a "crime" intended to "take down a nation's success."
"This is a disgrace to mankind and a disgrace to the people of the United States of America," he continued. "For their control of deceit and disgusting lies against our President Trump, who held to his promise for our country (and) his word for our country's love."
The star has been a vocal supporter of Trump, in August calling him "the greatest president of this century."
Voight currently sits on the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' board of trustees after being appointed by Trump in March. In November, Trump honored Voight with the National Medal of Arts.
