Border Patrol: Dozens of illegal immigrants found inside trailers
The U.S. Border Patrol says it discovered more than three dozen immigrants inside semi-tractor trailers in several smuggling attempts in South Texas.
According to an agency news release, on Friday evening agents at the Falfurrias checkpoint discovered 11 people inside a trailer filled with pallets of flour.
The immigrants were from Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico.
Sunday night agents at the Javier Vega Jr. checkpoint in Sarita found nine immigrants during a secondary inspector of a tractor trailer right loaded with produce. The migrants were from Mexico and El Salvador.
Seventeen immigrants were discovered Monday morning at the Falfurrias checkpoint during an inspector of an 18 wheeler.
In all, 37 people were processed by Border Patrol and face deportation

London Police Implement Real-Time Facial Recognition Devices; U.S. Follows With First Fully Biometric Airport
London police are set to deploy real-time facial recognition technology throughout the city; while the U.S. is also implementing the tech among other biometrics in the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta, making it the first in the U.S. to become fully biometric.
The Metropolitan Police announced that after testing facial recognition they have moved past the trial stage and are ready to permanently integrate the cameras into London. According to a report by the BBC, the cameras will be placed in locations popular with shoppers and tourists, like Stratford’s Westfield shopping center and the West End.
Each individual system will have its own “watch list” consisting of images of criminals wanted for serious and violent crimes.
Several human-rights groups have stated facial recognition is a worrying technology. One group, British human-rights group Liberty, called the move a “dangerous and sinister step.”
“This is a dangerous, oppressive and completely unjustified move,” Clare Collier, advocacy director at Liberty, said in a statement. “Facial-recognition technology gives the state unprecedented power to track and monitor any one of us, destroying our privacy and our free expression.

Christian aid workers disappear in Iraqi capital
BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:40 P.M.) – Four Christian aid workers reportedly disappeared while driving to a meeting inside the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Wednesday, the organization SOS Chretiens d’Orient announced on Friday.
“Monday, January 20, four of our collaborators disappeared in Baghdad. They had to drive to a meeting in the late afternoon. After several unsuccessful contact attempts throughout Tuesday, we noted their disappearance on Wednesday and therefore immediately alerted the French authorities. Today, the French and Iraqi authorities are coordinating to investigate and trace them,” the organization’s statement read.
According to SOS Chretiens d’Orient, three French and one Iraqi employee disappeared in Baghdad, but their identities were withheld for safety reasons.
SOS Chretiens d’Orient has been one of the most active aid organizations in the Middle East. The organization has provided aid to communities in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Egypt

Saudi Arabia to stop funding mosques in foreign countries

Former Saudi minister of justice, Mohammed Bin Abdul-Karim Issa, has announced that his country will stop funding mosques in foreign countries, Arabi21.com reported on Friday.
According to the Swiss newspaper, Le Matin Dimanche, Saudi Arabia is to establish local administrative councils for each mosque, in cooperation with the local authorities, in order to hand over these mosques to “secure hands”.
The minister added: “The time has come to hand over the Geneva Mosque to a Swiss administrative council that represents Muslims in the area. It should have an elected cleric.”

AllBank Corp is a Panamanian financial branch with headquarters in Curacao, which is part of the BOD group. The entity was closed down on Monday, 10th September by the Superintendency of Banks of Panama (SBP) to protect and safeguard the interests of customers.

The dollarization, which has rebounded in the country, is due to the recent relaxation of price controls. However, prices are so high that those who depend on wages in bolivars cannot afford anything.
