Isn't there some specific meaning to a U.S. flag hanging vertically? I remember a long twitter series by an autist that explained it represents one type of rule of law versus another. Maritime law versus Mercantile law, or something. (This is separare from the issue of gold fringe, btw.)

There is also a Q post with a verticle flag in one of the memes he posted or responded to. IIRC, it might have been a meme with a saying like "The strongest power in the world is a patriotic American" or something like that. Or maybe a meme about 9/11.
