CHINA IS SCREWED!!!

Anon in above post discussed how the coronavirus can live for days to weeks in water at 25C (77F). The first pic (from above post plus annotated here) says scientists demonstrated the virus can live IN SEWAGE at the temps shown and remain infectious for long periods.

Look at the two maps. Wuhan is located on the Yangtze River, which winds its way through several cities and eventually enters the ocean at Shanghai. Think of the huge population that is located along that river!

Don't know what China has as far as water treatment and sewage treatment plants go, but typically cities will dump their sewage in rivers that are also the water source for downstream cities. That means A LOT OF people are going to eventually drink and shower in that stuff. What if chlorine or ozone treatments don't kill the virus? So, somebody can shelter in place and still get contaminated with the virus (assuming they still have water from the utility). Some of them may even draw water directly from the river for home and farm animal consumption and not bother with a treatment plant.

What if the damn virus survives in the ocean? Does it kill the fish and ocean critters? Will it infect beaches?

The virus is already in many countries. Better stock up on bottled water, long-term-storage food (don't forget pet feed), prescription and OTC meds, and face masks. Also, keep your vehicles' gas tanks topped up. Probably would be a good idea to get some garden seed also (and live rabbits and chickens if you have room and the skills to raise them).
