The warden in charge when Jeffrey Epstein died in his jail cell is getting a cushy new supervisor’s job at ‘Club Fed’ despite Attorney General Bill Barr’s demand that he be reassigned to a desk job.

Lamine N’Diaye is being reassigned to a leadership role at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security prison in Burlington County, New Jersey, two people familiar with the matter said.

The move comes months after Barr ordered N’Diaye be reassigned to a desk post at the Bureau of Prisons’ regional office in Pennsylvania after Epstein´s death as the FBI and the Justice Department´s inspector general investigated.

Raw Ground Beef Recalled in 9 States Due to Possible Plastic Contamination

A Chicago company is recalling about 2,020 pounds of raw ground beef that was shipped to nine states, federal health officials said.

The beef is being recalled due to possible contamination with thin pliable plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Friday.

Two customers complained of finding the foreign matter in the beef, sparking the recall.

One-pound vacuum-packed packages containing lot code “0060,” case code “11402” and a use or freeze by date of “01/31/2020” on the product label are subject to the recall, the department said.

The products were produced Jan. 6 and shipped to retail locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, FSIS said.

Kenya gets attack choppers after deadly attack on US base

Following the deadly attack on a joint American-Kenyan base earlier this month, the Kenyan military just got several light scout attack helicopters.

More specifically, the Kenyan military received 12 MD 530F Cayuse Warrior scout attack helicopters.

The fuel tanks of the MD 530Fs can withstand direct hits from ammunition up to and including 7.62mm. Also the fuselage offers ballistic protection from small-arms fire to the crew. As far as their armament is concerned, the Cayuse Warriors can carry a heavy punch: their weaponry includes an FNH HMP400 Pod with M3P Heavy Machine Gun (the FN version of the venerable M2 Browning .50 caliber heavy machine gun) and an M260 Rocket Pod with 2.75” rockets.

According to the Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), the contract is worth approximately $253 million and includes, aside from the helicopters, 24 FNH HMP400 machinegun pods, 24 M260 rocket launchers, 4,032 M151 rockets, 1,536 2.75-inch M274 smoke signature warhead rockets and hundreds of thousands of .50 caliber ammo.

Leader Of 'The Base' Militant Group Revealed As Intelligence Contractor, Suspected Federal Agent

Readers will no doubt be shocked to learn the leader of the "white supremacist neo-Nazi terrorist group" the Base is an intelligence contractor and appears to be a federal agent.

In truth, it'd probably be more shocking to learn he wasn't a fed.

But the Guardian can reveal that “Norman Spear” is in fact US-born Rinaldo Nazzaro, 46, who has a long history of advertising his services as an intelligence, military and security contractor. He has claimed, under his alias, to have served in Russia and Afghanistan.

4 dead, 5 injured in explosion at Korean motel

Four people were killed and five others were injured on Saturday in an explosion at a motel in eastern South Korea.

Kim Dong-woo, an official from the fire department in the coastal city of Donghae, said the explosion occurred on the second floor of the motel where seven guests were using a gas stove to grill meat.

He said four people inside the room were killed and the other three were seriously injured. The explosion also caused minor injuries to two other guests who were in different rooms.

Kim said officials are investigating the exact cause of the explosion.

Officials did not provide the personal details of those who were killed or injured.

Angry Citizens Heckle Adam Schiff, 'Move to Venezuela Comrade!'

Not everyone is impressed or even "dazzled" by Adam Schiff's impeachment performance. In December, a town hall event of his was shut down by protesters angry with his impeachment crusade and now, it's happened again. Fox News reported that Schiff was confronted while leaving the Senate chamber after arguing for impeaching President Trump by angry citizens who mocked and heckled him, calling him a "liar" and urging him to move to Venezuela.

Egypt Ushers in New Year With Murderous Assaults on Christian Copts

The New Year began with an uptick in slaughter attempts on Egypt’s Coptic Christian minority.

First, on January 12, 2020, a Muslim man crept up behind a Coptic woman walking home with groceries, pulled her head back with a hand full of hair, and slit her throat with a knife in the other hand.

Nearby people attacked and restrained the man in al-Wariq, Giza, where the incident took place. Catherine Ramzi was rushed to a nearby medical center, where her throat was sewn with 63 stitches; despite initial heavy bleeding, she managed to survive. The doctor told her that had the knife penetrated one millimeter more—her now mangled sweatshirt had provided some buffering against the knife—it would’ve reached her jugulars and killed her.

During an interview, she explained that she had never before seen the man. All she heard him say during the assault is that she “deserved it” because her “hair was exposed.” He may have also identified her as a Christian because, like many Copts, Catherine bears a visible tattoo of the cross on her hand.

Russian Orthodox Church’s former spokesman collapses & dies in Moscow, aged just 51

An ex-spokesman of the Russian Orthodox Church, Vsevolod Chaplin, has died suddenly in Moscow. The ultraconservative cleric was known for his controversial statements, often made during frequent appearances in the Russian media.

Chaplin reportedly felt ill when he was sitting on a bench near the church he was serving in on Sunday. He then slumped to the ground, and by the time the ambulance arrived it was too late. According to the media reports, the arch-priest suffered an asthma attack, although the exact cause of death is still unknown.

Chaplin had just concluded mass at the well-known, central Moscow, Church of Theodore the Studite when he was taken ill. The cause of death is believed to have been an asthma attack. Due to his TV & radio appearances, the Archpriest was a well known public figure in Russia.

Chaplin headed the Church's public relations department between 2009 and 2015 and acted as the religious body's spokesman until he was sacked. During that time, he made a name for himself with his outspoken and highly controversial comments on social issues and foreign policy. He repeatedly advocated the restoration of monarchy in Russia, called for a more active role for Moscow in the Ukrainian conflict and described Russia's anti-terrorist operation in Syria as a "holy war."

Politics Disguised as Science: When to Doubt a Scientific ‘Consensus’

Anyone who has studied the history of science knows that scientists are not immune to the non-rational dynamics of the herd.

This week’s March for Science is odd. Marches are usually held to defend something that’s in peril. Does anyone really think big science is in danger? The mere fact that the March was scheduled for Earth Day betrays what the event is really about: politics. The organizers admitted as much early on, though they’re now busy trying to cover the event in sciencey camouflage.

If past is prologue, expect to hear a lot about the supposed “consensus” on catastrophic climate change this week. The purpose of this claim is to shut up skeptical non-scientists.

How should non-scientists respond when told about this consensus? We can’t all study climate science. But since politics often masquerades as science, we need a way to tell one from the other.

Instead of Firing Him, Cop Named ‘Officer of the Year’ for Racism, Excessive Force, Sexual Assault

Orlando, FL — Orlando Police Department’s Jonathan Mills was named the Officer of the Year in 2018. This award was given to him despite his extremely tainted history. Before this award, he was verbally warned for an accusation of racism in 2016, and was hit with an excessive force lawsuit in 2017—and they still named him officer of the year!

To stave off the fury of citizens calling for accountability, the department announced this month that they ‘disciplined’ Mills. Exactly what this ‘discipline’ consisted of remains a mystery.

This ‘discipline’ spawned from an incident with three teenagers outside an Orlando liqueur store in which he tried to provoke them into violence. The three teenagers, aged 17, 19, and 19, had already been approached by another officer in Parramor and told to take a hike. But instead of leaving, the kids hung around, prompting Mills to come and initiate a second police contact.

Once Mills arrived on scene he began to speak to the teenagers in a way which was not according to the “high standards” of the OPD. Following an internal investigation of the incident which took place in May, the OPD concluded Mills attempted to “taunt, belittle, humiliate and even incite … violence” against the teenagers.
