It’s simple. Bolton is writing a book. Little all books written by people with access to sensitive information he is having the manuscript reviewed by the government to make certain he doesn’t disclose something sensitive that he shouldn’t.
Someone heard about the review and leaked that the quid pro quo bombshell was in the book. Problem is this leaker never saw the manuscrIpt and doesn’t know anything.
It is the same unoriginal play that the DS tried on Kavanaugh. Say there is last minute information that proves everything, except it is all bogus.
The only question is whether the leaker took it upon himself to muddy the waters or if this was another orchestrated tactic by Schiff and company to try to save their debunked case in the Senate trial. Because the timing was too perfect, I suspect the latter but have no sauce.
Dimocrats know this ploy won’t last long, but are using it to push for additional witnesses. Resist and delay is all they have left.
