It would appear from this article that Kobe's helicopter originated from Van Nuys Airport (which flew to Orange County to pick up the passengers). Van Nuys/Burbank Airport is squarely in Adam Schiff's territory.

Kobe's long-time pilot WAS qualified to fly in fog (instrument rated), and was known to be very careful. Could something have gone wrong with the instruments??

Helicopter was owned and operated by Island Holding based in Fillmore, CA. Kobe must have had a lease agreement with them.
