The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation hosted Event 201, a high-level pandemic exercise on October 18, 2019, in New York, NY. The exercise illustrated areas where public/private partnerships will be necessary during the response to a severe pandemic in order to diminish large-scale economic and societal consequences.

A severe pandemic, which becomes “Event 201,” would require reliable cooperation among several industries, national governments, and key international institutions.

Guess Who Was In Charge Of Reviewing Bolton's Leaked Book At The NSC?

The identical twin brother of Democratic impeachment witness Alexander Vindman, Yevgeny Vindman, is reportedly in charge of reviewing all publications by current and former officials at the National Security Council (NSC), according to Breitbart News, which would include the recently leaked manuscript of former National Security adviser John Bolton.

The report describes the reviews as a "standard process that allows the NSC to review book manuscripts, op-eds, or any other material for any classified material to be eliminated before publication."

The New York Times reported Sunday evening that Bolton’s draft book manuscript, which had been submitted to the NSC for prepublication review on Dec. 30, alleged that President Trump told Bolton in August 2019 that he wanted to withhold security assistance to Ukraine until it agreed to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, among others.

It was not clear if the Times had seen the Bolton manuscript; its sources were “multiple people” who “described Mr. Bolton’s account of the Ukraine affair.”

Bolton’s lawyer, Chuck Cooper, issued a statement in which he said: “It is clear, regrettably, from The New York Times article published today that the prepublication review process has been corrupted.” He did not confirm or deny the Times‘ reporting on the content of the manuscript. -Breitbart News

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman famously testified against President Trump during House impeachment hearings in November, where he admitted to violating the chain of command when he reported his concerns over a July 25 phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky.

Breitbart notes that the Vindman brothers have offices across from each other at the NSC, and that the Wall Street Journal describes Vindman as "an NSC lawyer handling ethics issues." Alexander Vindman, meanwhile, has said that his brother was the "lead ethics official" at the agency.

Sen. Josh Hawley: If the Senate decides to call witnesses, We will call Schiff, the Bidens and the Whistleblower

“If my colleagues and others decide, you know what, we have got to have witnesses, then let’s call everybody who is going to be relevant,” said Sen. Josh Hawley, (R-MO), on “Fox & Friends” on Monday.

“This isn’t just about John Bolton. This should be about the whistleblower, Adam Schiff, Hunter Biden — let’s hear from them all.”

“If the Senate decides to call witnesses later this week, we need to hear from Adam Schiff number one,” Hawley said.

“We know his staff had contact with the so-called whistleblower before the whistleblower filed his complaint. We know that Schiff’s staff gave the whistleblower direction. I want to know what direction. I want to know what they talked about.”

“By the way, Schiff lied about that. Why did he? I think we ought to find that out,” Hawley continued, adding that Hunter Biden should testify, too, because “he is right at the center of this.”

“What was he doing in Ukraine? What was he doing with Burisma [Holdings]?” the Missouri lawmaker asked. “And probably Joe Biden. What did Joe Biden know when he asked the Ukrainians to fire that prosecutor who was looking into Hunter?”

“We are in an impeachment trial now. This is about overturning an election by the people of the United States and if we’re going to call witnesses, the whistleblower needs to be put under oath and explain what he knew and when he knew it,” Hawley said.

Trump Admin Reconsidering U.S. Aid to Hezbollah-Controlled Lebanon

An internal divide in the Trump administration over American aid to Lebanon is reaching a breaking point as Lebanon forms a government controlled by the Iranian-backed terror group Hezbollah, according to sources familiar with the matter who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.

The State Department's concession to Congress that it would commit to halting financial aid to Lebanon if U.S. taxpayer dollars go to Hezbollah is now being brought to the forefront. That guarantee from the State Department is fueling a growing push to freeze all aid in light of Hezbollah's unprecedented takeover of the Lebanese government, sources confirmed.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), who has led a battle on Capitol Hill against unconditional assistance to Lebanon, recently wrenched promises from the administration to halt the aid if it is shown Hezbollah is the beneficiary, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

Internal administration battles over both economic and military assistance recently spilled into the public. The administration released hundreds of millions of dollars to Lebanon in late December over the objections of Trump loyalists in the National Security Council and State Department, who feared the money is directly aiding Hezbollah and its allies embedded in the Lebanese government, sources confirmed.

These battles were followed by previously unreported jostling in Beirut and Washington, D.C., over the future of such policies, which opponents say will only embolden Hezbollah and its Iranian benefactors in the region.

David Hale, the State Department's undersecretary of state for political affairs, drew a red line in recent meetings with Lebanese officials, telling them the Trump administration would deny aid to any Lebanese government controlled by Hezbollah, according to Lebanese media reports.

According to documents viewed by the Free Beacon, Cruz leveraged the nomination of Dorothy Shea, the State Department nominee to be the next ambassador to Lebanon, to obtain a written commitment that the United States will ensure that "assistance does not benefit Hezbollah" and that even locally targeted aid will only go to municipalities that "are not controlled by Hezbollah or any other designated foreign terrorist organization."

"I am committed to implementing the law and U.S. policies as directed, including ensuring that U.S. assistance does not benefit Hezbollah or any other terrorist group," Shea wrote, according to a copy of her written answers obtained by the Free Beacon.

US to Grant $35 Million to Promote Its “Fake News Bubble” in Syria and Control Local Media

Although Western media has a shoddy track record of lying on Syria (and Libya, Iraq…), the US State Department will pump $35 million more into future war propaganda on Syria, under the guise of promoting honest reporting.

A US State Department grant, “Support for Independent Media in Syria,” is unabashed in stating one of its main goals is “to advance U.S. Government policy objectives in Syria.”

That is probably the sole honest clause in the grant description: that it is in the end about US self-serving, hegemonic objectives in Syria.

The description goes on to claim these goals include the defeat of ISIS—although the illegal US-led coalition has attacked Syrian army positions on numerous occasions, ensuring the advance (not defeat) of ISIS in those areas. One of the most glaring instances being the September 2016 repeated attacks on the Syrian army in Deir ez-Zor province, which saw ISIS take over the region.

The US assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, recognized in the region as the man responsible for the near-defeat of ISIS, is another notable example of the US goals being to prolong, not defeat, ISIS in the region.

With their grant, the US plans to “advance human rights and promote tolerance and dialogue between ethnic and religious communities,” which is again morbidly laughable given that the US has been supporting wahhabi and other extremists whose human rights track records include caging, torturing, raping, and starving civilians, and public executions.

It wouldn’t be American policy if the State Department grant didn’t include mention of countering “Russian disinformation”and ending the presence of “Iranian forces and proxies in Syria.”

However, removing Iranian forces isn’t within America’s right to do; Syria invited Iran, Russia and other allies to actually fight terrorism in Syria, as opposed to the US-led occupation forces. And as discussed, it isn’t Russia that has the track record of disinfo on Syria, that honor goes to America and allies.

Western outlets in chorus promoted the accusations of Syria/Russia preventing food and aid into eastern Aleppo (even Reuters reported “rebels” had stockpiled aid) and Madaya and eastern Ghouta (none was true). Western media sold the story of Russia/Syria bombing the home of Omran Daqneesh (didn’t happen), of the al-Quds hospital being “reduced to rubble” by Russian/Syrian bombing (didn’t happen), and a litany of other grotesque war propaganda stories.

Suddenly we’re meant to find credible journalists who embed with al-Qaeda and whitewash their crimes, and media which have on many occasions used photos not even in Syria to accompany sensationalist war propaganda stories.

CNN and western media got it wrong about Omran Daqneesh, but I haven’t even seen any retractions for this lie.

And yet the US wants people to believe that the independent voices and Russian and Syrian media who actually reported factually and honestly on these and other issues…are not credible.

The US wants people to live in a fake news bubble, where the narratives are controlled by the war mongers. And, strangely, America seemingly wants Syrians to be subjected to media that reports opposite of the reality they are living. As if after nine years of enduring Western (and Gulf) media’s lies Syrians will suddenly believe them and decide to overthrow the president they elected (and support)? America is grasping at straws…

Why You Should Reduce Your Kids’ Sugar Intake & How To Do It!

The evidence is mounting that sugars, especially added sugars in processed foods, are affecting our children’s overall health and longevity. Unfortunately, the massive sugar intake begins when children are young, but there are ways to reduce the amount of sugar our kids consume while still allowing them to enjoy great tasting foods.

Researchers have pondered for quite some time whether sugar itself harming health or if it’s the weight gain that comes from consuming sugary drinks and foods mainly what contributes to illness over the long term. And it looks like the answer is both. Extra weight increased risks for chronic diseases and diabetes, while itself does do at least some damage to internal organs when it is being broken down by the body. Excessive sugar can damage the liver and lead to kidney failure.

The Liver – The liver processes fructose and stores it in the form of fat on the body. The organ uses one type of sugar, called fructose, to make fat. Too much sugar and high-fructose corn syrup (highly processed sugar) causes a fatty buildup that can lead to liver disease. Some studies have shown that sugar can be as damaging to the liver as alcohol, even if you’re not overweight.

The Kidneys – Sugar is not a problem for the kidneys unless the blood sugar level gets too high. This commonly occurs in both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Once the blood sugar level gets higher than 180 mg/dl, the kidneys start to spill sugar into the urine. The higher the blood sugar, the more sugar comes out in the urine. If your kidneys are normal, this usually isn’t a problem, but if you have diabetes, too much sugar can cause kidney damage.

Additionally, researchers say that sugar can, both directly and indirectly, cause type 2 diabetes. Not all studies prove that sugar causes diabetes, however, the conclusion has always been the same: the association is strong. It may directly increase risk because of the impact fructose has on your liver, including promoting fatty liver, inflammation and localized insulin resistance (9, 14, 15). These effects may trigger abnormal insulin production in your pancreas and increase your risk of type 2 diabetes (14, 16). Eating large amounts of sugar can also indirectly raise diabetes risk by contributing to weight gain and increased body fat — which are separate risk factors for developing diabetes (17).

At Russia's Insistence, Israel, a Haven for Pedos and Sodomites, Bans them From Adopting Russian Children

Israel and Russia have signed a new adoption agreement that will effectively block LGBT Israelis from adopting Russian children, Israel’s Channel 12 news outlet reported Wednesday.

Russia banned adoption by LGBT couples and individuals from countries that allow gay marriage in 2013. Israel has been complying with this law through a de facto arrangement in the years since it passed, the Haaretz news outlet reported in 2017.

While it doesn’t explicitly mention LGBT adoption, the new agreement, which was signed ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Israel this week, says all adoptions between Russia and Israel must comply with Russian law.

The agreement has been met with outrage by Israel's LGBT community, with critics pointing to what they say is Israel’s conflicting stance on gay rights. Despite a 2017 promise to legalize adoption by same-sex couples, LGBT Israelis are still barred from adopting children or conceiving children through surrogacy.

Israel had previously rejected Russia’s requests to put the LGBT restriction into a formal document, Haaretz reported Thursday.

Russia is one of the few countries to allow adoption by Israeli parents, and Russian children account for roughly half of all adoptions in Israel. The latest agreement aims to make it easier and faster for heterosexual couples and individuals in Israel to adopt Russian children.

An explanatory note accompanying Russia's 2013 LGBT adoption law said that the government had acted to protect adopted children "from possible unwanted influence such as artificial forcing of non-traditional sexual behavior and the suffering, complexes and stresses that, according to psychologists' studies, are often experienced by kids raised in same-sex families."
