God chose Abraham to be the lineage of the promised Messiah, and Israel was God's chosen people because the lineage of Jesus came from Abraham. The Bible is filled with genealogy records to show this.
The prophesy has been fulfilled. People who have rejected that Jesus is the promised Messiah and claim to still be God's chosen people are just messed up.
