My job as a bellhop and limousine driver at Embassy Suites kept me in rent and college tuition.

 

Crowes came to town. I had to work.

 

Roadies checked in. Came down an hour later requesting a limo ride.

 

I'm driving them to the auditorium, they light up a J. They offer it to me and can't stop laughing when I decline.

 

I pull up behind the auditorium and they tell me to ditch the limo behind some trees, come backstage and party with the band.

 

I was a dutiful young man. I said no, even though this was my favorite album at the time.
