A friend in Desert Storm witnessed a truck stopped and using a public telephone, while the driver was on the phone the truck exploded. Killed one occupant and injured two others. He was .mil so he investigated and the driver said they were working on Embassy (contractors) who just went thru the Israeli controlled checkpoint as they do every day. (telling the checkpoint where they worked). The bomb was set to go off when they got to "work" at the embassy, and was placed under the vehicle be someone at the checkpoint.
The truck had a flat tire, otherwise there would been another embassy bombing that would have supported more war effort to protect Israel.
