The Senate trial rules allow for evidence in public domain to be entered into the impeachment trial. Once DECLAS happens (the shot heard around the world), all info is in the public domain. Senators are captive during the trial and Republicans and Democrats alike will DEMAND witnesses (if they are not corrupt). The whole world will be watching…
