Larry C. Johnson: FBI Lied to a Federal Court Regarding Seth Rich

Jim Hoft by Jim Hoft January 29, 2020

Thanks to Judicial Watch, a new batch of emails have surfaced that put the FBI in a whole lot of trouble with at least two Federal Judges. Attorney Ty Clevenger made repeated FOIA requests to the FBI for all emails and communications dealing with Seth Rich and his murder. The FBI denied they had any such communications. Whoops! There are now five emails and one text message that show that denial is not true. Let’s dig into the details.

Pharma exec gets a mere 66 months in prison for bribing doctors to overprescribe deadly, habit-forming opioids

One of the worst drug epidemics in the history of America was caused not by small-time dealers and local pushers selling illegal substances on street corners, but by licensed physicians and primary care providers.

Opioids have killed as many or more people in the 2000s as crack and heroin did in the 1970s and 1980s, and in fact, the epidemic of death continues to this day — though the Trump administration is finally making some progress to combat it.

As The National Sentinel reported this month, after 30 years of escalating deaths from opioid overdoses, the numbers are finally falling for the first time. In all, total drug overdoses from opioids have declined about 5 percent from a year ago, the first such decline since 1990.

But there is much more to be done, of course, and that includes holding those who created this hellish nightmare responsible.

Alas, our warped system of justice — such as it is — may not be up to the task.

Department of Interior grounding drone fleet over cybersecurity concerns

The secretary of the Interior issued an order Wednesday grounding all of the Department of the Interior’s non-emergency drones so the agency can assess potential cybersecurity concerns before operating the devices any further.

“Drones for non-emergency operations will remain grounded while the Interior Department reviews the possibility of potential threats and ensures a secure, reliable and consistent drone policy that advances our mission while keeping America safe,” a Department of Interior (DOI) spokesperson said.
