"trust us"
So many things are deeply technical
that average people do not expect
to be able to adequately review
or study them.
We need anonfags with deep knowledge in all disciplines to study and analyze and report on things for the benefit of everybody.
How do you review somebody's proprietary semiconductor masks
before manufacturing commences?
You can't.
Chip makers will say "trust us"
but their track record does not invite trust.
This is a difficult problem.
Analogy to biotech where average people are not in a position to study/analyze/decide what is safe or isn't.
They will say "trust us".
Anons are not big on trust.
