Was he passed around? Starting to think that was the case. What's up with the symbolism here besides the obvious "Let your Dandy flag fly"? He goes through several identities then smashes a mirror. Is he trying to psyche himself up to admitting publicly what happened to him? Was he willing at first but with age and wisdom horrified by it? Is that how victims are chosen, for their innocent openness?
