I would not visit the hospital if I was freaked out… I don't know if I would be freaked out by much unless it was something causing harm to my family or that my and neighboring countries were being forced into war.
Since no one has mentioned it, I guess that "put you in the hospital" is not a phrase people use when someone is told earth shattering information in the likes of the phrase "make sure you are sitting down".
