Thank you, baker and fuck that poseur!
I understand what you are saying and to an extent I do see it too. I don't bother calling people out and haven't for a long time, there were tons of idiots, trolls & shills on /cbts/ and 4/pol/ and I realzed then it didn't do me any good to constantly argue. True, there have been times of exceptional productivity and insight, we broke twitter together and have made a lot of other progress. Many came and went since then, and you're right about influx of edgelord newfag tryhards who don't actually contribute anything actually useful to MAGA/POTUS/Q+ and it's a locker room atmosphere in the evenings. But the day/night shift is subversion that is just something to create a crack, shove a wedge and make a split, for an example of something that oldfags know immediately and newfags eagerly latch onto and in turn play into international ABC efforts to dilute the participation and effectiveness of this board. The benefit of 'lurk 2 years' is lost on most and so this tactic has actually worked to a degree, having the benefit of perspective of seeing this all play out from the very beginning. And you're right, there are some particular oldfags who don't participate here, I suspect either they just went to twitter or haven't found us here yet. But considering that we've been on 3 chans and multiple boards and still going is a pretty serious testament to those who have persevered all this time. And we can't forget the many, many lurkers who, when they do post, really give good insight and make good points - they don't get attention or appreciation, but they should. There is really a different point of view from reading a thread and not participating to being very active in one (or a string of them). It's a good exercise to do that once in a while.
tl:dr - You are not wrong, i see it, too, but it is inevitable that the group changes and thus dynamic changes.
I'll be here when you return, and you'll always be welcome. Have fun in meatspace in the meantime!
