We live in pivotal times. The veils between parallel universes are wearing thin. It is easy to waver among the not yet quite converged timelines that are coalescing.
There is a chapter in this book that mentions America Prime, an alternate timeline, the way America is supposed to be. I believe Trump is trying to merge our timeline with America Prime, knowingly or otherwise.
