My opinion: (with it and a buck, you can buy yourself a candy bar)
As an OCD, I was an 18-hour+/day researcher on this board for months. With that level of commitment and excitement (dare I say addiction?) for the work being done here, I added ALOT to the knowledge base. Often, I WISHED I could balance my life better between here and real life but this work had me chained - even as the responsibilities of RL was being sorely neglected.
When the board became taken over with AI/shills/arguing, the "chains" of the research board were loosened and finally broken because the nonsense drowned out the addrenaline-producing nuggets of gold that had been keeping me obsessively hooked and tuned in and digging. Now I go days without logging on at all and my obsessive mind is back to it's normal state of being hyper-focused on RL activities and projects. It's a relief but possibly a sad tragedy for the Q experiment.
Q team said we were chosen for a reason - and I suspect the reason is the obsessive-compulsive personality traits of many autists that are here. I don't have any sauce but my hunch is that I'm not the only OCD researcher whose "mental pathology" has been released from here due to the over-the-top chaos this board has become. How many excellent and tireless researchers have been lost? Food for thought…
Again - just my opinion. Thanks for listening. Candy bars available at the corner store. :-))
