So we got one source saying that the spike protein is from the SARS virus and another saying that it looks like the one from HIV.
My money is on the HIV peeps reading the data wrong.
>"The ultimate source for this story is certainly to be found in the narratives of the Phoenicians, a race notorious for falsehoods…."
Someone fed ZH bad info and they fell for it. Then they immediately get kicked off Twitter. Hmm.
Don't just read the headlines and trust that the authors know what they're talking about. Read the article closely. The segments that they think resembles HIV is very short (pic related). This is like finding a short sentence inserted into a block of text, doing a Google search of that sentence, and declaring that whatever Google finds must have been the source.
ZH got duped.
Opps, this pic.
>How does one explain that HIV anti retrovials are being used to treat corona virus patients ?
That's not significant. The parts that are claimed to resemble HIV are in genes that make the spike protein. The HIV drugs being used to treat the new virus work by targeting other parts of its replication cycle, such as the transcription process.
