Kentucky Planned Parenthood to Resume Abortions Under New Democrat Governor

The Planned Parenthood in Louisville , Kentucky, will resume performing abortions in March — after being halted by the former Republican governor who was ousted in November.

Former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, a Republican, had issued an order to halt abortions at the clinic in 2016. He was unseated by Democrat Andy Beshear, and the clinic has now been given a provisional license from state officials.

The Louisville Planned Parenthood is now one of only two abortion clinics in the state

“Kentucky has gone from one abortion provider to two, which is a significant win for reproductive health care in the state,” Chris Charbonneau, CEO of Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky, said in a statement announcing the provisional license. “All people in Kentucky deserve to make their own pregnancy decisions and to have access to safe and legal abortion.”

Charbonneau added that “in January, CHFS rescinded the denial of PPINK’s license application, and the case brought against PPINK regarding the license was dismissed. The lawsuit filed under the previous administration was a blatant attack against reproductive rights and made no attempt to follow proper protocols and procedures.

Wonder Why…could this be 1 reason …

Blog: Think a $500K salary for Planned Parenthood's CEO is a ton of dough? Think again

When she testified before Congress on Tuesday, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards took heat for her six-figure salary.

"You make a ton of dough," said Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) during a hearing called by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

But a look at the money earned in 2013 by CEOs of other not-for-profit healthcare organizations shows that Richards is in the middle of the pack.

Planned Parenthood's revenue that year was $139 million.

Of 38 organizations with revenue within $10 million of Planned Parenthood's, Richards' pay of $524,000 ranked 19th, according to Modern Healthcare's Not-for-profit Executive Compensation Database.

The Flynn prosecution now stands exposed as massive FBI and DOJ abuse of power

Here’s another black eye for the Justice Department’s Obama-era leadership: The case against Gen. Michael Flynn is in full collapse.

Federal prosecutors just backed down from their demand that Flynn — President Trump’s first, short-lived national security adviser — serve jail time for lying to FBI investigators, telling a court Wednesday that probation would be a “reasonable” sentence.

In fact, Justice had long wanted leniency, since Flynn cooperated fully with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigations. But last month it started seeking up to six months of confinement — mainly because he’s no longer taking responsibility for his crime.

“I am innocent,” he writes in a new filing, explaining that he pleaded guilty in 2017 to making false statements to the FBI because he felt helpless to fight the charges: He’d already had to sell his home to pay legal costs and was told his son could be indicted, to

America’s Next Housing Shortage, Brought To You By The Democrats

Democrats complain about the cost of everything, from health care to prescription drugs to fuel prices (when a Republican is president) to groceries to college tuition, never understanding, or simply not caring, that it’s their policies that drive up prices. So they of course think there’s nothing wrong with their ideas that will accelerate increases in housing costs.

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who still has a chance to be the Democrats’ nominee, said a few weeks back that because scientists are scaring her about the climate, “by 2028, no new buildings, no new houses” would be built “without a zero-carbon footprint,” if she had her way.

More than 30 civilians killed in attacks in eastern DR Congo

Thirty-six people have been killed in a suspected militia attack in the eastern DR Congo region of Beni, where hundreds have died in violence since November, a local official said Wednesday.

Congolese troops have been carrying out a military operation on an armed group in the east of the country – long plagued by various militias – and militiamen have responded with a series of massacres against civilians.

"They were all hacked to death. This brings (the toll) to 36 bodies," local Beni governor Donat Kibwana told AFP, updating casualties from Tuesday's attack.

Officials had earlier reported 15 fatalities

Student government declines to support free speech resolution prompted by Jeff Sessions protest

Northwestern University’s student government is unwilling to acknowledge on the record that “all people” on campus “have the right to free speech and free expression.”

Earlier this month it narrowly voted to indefinitely table the free speech resolution submitted by Daily Northwestern columnist Zach Kessel. It was inspired by the disruptive student protest against former Attorney General Jeff Sessions when he spoke on campus in November.

The Daily found itself under fire for taking photos of protesters at the Sessions event, which was open to the public, and asking them for comment for its coverage. The editorial board soon apologized for “retraumatizing” them and promised to revise its procedures for newsgathering.

West Point Forces Cadets to Undergo ‘Gender Diversity’ Training, Says Men are ‘Toxic’

America’s premiere military school, West Point, is now forcing cadets to learn about “gender norms,” “diversity,” and “inclusion.”

America’s premiere military school, West Point, is now forcing cadets to learn about “gender norms,” “diversity,” and “inclusion,” instead of teaching cadets in training useful leadership skills.

The absurd PCing of the school is so bad that one cadet was heard grousing that they are teaching him “how NOT to be a man.”

Last week the military school held what it called its “Honorably Living Day,” an event described as promoting “diversity, inclusion and acceptance of people from differing backgrounds, races and genders.”

West Point Superintendent Lt. Gen. Darryl A. Williams laughably insisted that the politically correct indoctrination would further “combat readiness.”

U.S. Funding of Islamist “Charity” Groups Triples Under Trump

The amount of American taxpayer dollars that go to Islamist organizations has drastically increased under the Trump administration, which has doled out millions to radical nonprofits, including a recent allocation to a terrorist front group named as an unindicted co-conspirator in a terrorism financing trial. Between 2017 and 2018 the U.S. government more than tripled its funding to organizations either influenced or controlled by Islamist activists from $4 million to $13.5 million, according to an analysis conducted by a think tank dedicated to protecting Western values from Middle Eastern threats.

The Philadelphia-based nonprofit, Middle East Forum (MEF), reviewed millions of dollars in government grant data and found that the Trump administration is dedicating a lot more to radical Muslim groups than the Obama administration, which gave Islamist-linked organizations an average of $1.7 million annually. A big chunk of the money, around $8.7 million, has gone to the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), a surrogate of the south Asian paramilitary group Jamaat-e-Islami, which was recently banned by the Indian government under anti-terrorism laws. An ICNA subsidiary known as Helping Hand for Relief and Development has openly partnered with the Pakistani terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba, which was involved in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack that killed 164 people. The $8.7 million was delivered in 2018 for “disaster assistance projects,” according to the government data obtained by MEF.

Soldiers in high heels draw online outburst

On April 1, about 15 cadets from Temple University participated in a school-sponsored Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event, during which men stumble through a pre-set route while sporting high heels as a way to raise awareness for sexual assault victims. Several cadets walked while wearing Army Combat Uniforms, as did the school's professor of military science, Lt. Col. Greg Nardi, who runs Temple's Red Diamond Brigade.

Military blogs like This Ain't Hell reported on the cadets weeks later. Around that time, another high-heel walk, this one sponsored by the ROTC brigade at Arizona State University, drew attention when a screen shot of a message allegedly from an ASU cadet complaining about his school's event landed on Reddit's Army channel, the Facebook page of U.S Army W.T.F!
