Peter Schweizer Unveils the Layers of Corruption Behind the Biden Family

Despite former Vice President Joe Biden’s image of being a fighter for the working class, he has actually engaged in behavior that benefitted himself and his family members to the tune of millions of dollars in shady business deals, according to an interview with Government Accountability Institute (GAI) president and Breitbart News senior contributor Peter Schweizer, author of the new book Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite.

Schweizer discussed several examples of Biden’s abuses of power he laid out in his book.

He said after Biden became vice president and the point person on China, his son Hunter Biden began to benefit from deals with the Chinese government. He said:

You have this situation where Joe Biden becomes vice president of the United States. He is the point person on China, he’s somewhat of an old hand on China because he’s on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee all those years, traveled to China. He becomes vice president and then suddenly, sort of out of the blue, his son Hunter gets these deals courtesy of the Chinese government.

As Schweizer detailed in a previous book, Secret Empires, Hunter Biden in 2012 inked a $1.5 billion deal with a subsidiary of the state-owned Bank of China to create a private equity fund called Bohai Harvest RST — only 12 days after he visited China with his father aboard Air Force Two.

Seems like Trump and Q-team just undid Billboy Clinton giving china most Favored Trading status..Which helped all these companies move to China and get TAX breaks for doing it ….If you think its not possible what about the NK mountain that exploded…Same result different tactics

Nearly 200 Citizens’ Guns Seized in NJ Under Red Flag Laws in 4 Months, Many of them PERMANENTLY

For the past two years, Democrats and Republicans alike have joined forces to pass sweeping regulations that could serve as a death blow to the Second Amendment. Red flag laws have been passed in a growing number of states and police are showing how willing they are to use them.

A new report out of New Jersey shows that since that state has passed red flag legislation, nearly 200 people have had their guns taken—that is more than one person every day losing their Second Amendment rights. According to NJ.com:

The Extreme Risk Protective Order Act, which went into effect Sept. 1, allows a law enforcement officer, family or household member to submit a petition to state Superior Court showing why a judge should issue an order to keep guns away from someone who potentially poses a danger of causing bodily injury to themselves or to others.

If the judge determines there is “good cause” to remove the guns, the judge will initially issue a temporary extreme risk protection order and a search warrant is executed to recover the guns, ammunition and firearms identification card from the person.

So far, 186 temporary extreme risk protective orders have been granted as of Jan. 22, according to the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts, meaning more than one person a day has had their guns taken away — at least temporarily — in New Jersey since the law went into effect. In 25 cases, a petition was made but the temporary order was denied by a judge, according to court data.

The days grow shorter and the nights are getting long

Feels like we're running out of time

Every day it seems much harder tellin' right from wrong

You got to read between the lines

Don't get discouraged, don't be afraid, we can

Make it through another day

Make it worth the price we pay

The Good Book says it's better to give than to receive

I do my best to do my part

Nothin' in my pockets I got nothin' up my sleeve

I keep my magic in my heart

Keep up your spirit, keep up your faith, baby

I am counting on you

You know what you've got to do

Pentagon eyes Guantanamo Bay military prison for cuts to personnel, infrastructure

The number of U.S. service members deployed to the Guantanamo Bay prison may be cut as part of the Pentagon’s worldwide look at where it can reallocate forces, U.S. Southern Command commander Navy Adm. Craig Faller said Thursday.

Faller told the Senate Armed Services Committee that Southern Command is looking at the detention facility to determine if there’s “a more efficient way to conduct that mission set.”

Faller said there are currently about 1,800 U.S. National Guard forces serving at the military prison at Naval Base Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. The detention facility opened in 2002 to hold prisoners affiliated with al-Qaida and the Taliban caught during the almost two-decade-long war on terrorism.

About 780 prisoners have been held at the facility since it opened, but only 40 remain now, including detainees charged in connection with the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the October 2000 strike on the destroyer USS Cole.

In the Senate hearing, Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., questioned whether it was time to move the remaining prisoners to a maximum security facility in the United States to save money.

TSA: Making Woman Take Down Pants & Underwear “Not a Strip Search”

The TSA has been pretty clear that they do not conduct “strip searches” at the checkpoint. In fact, they even re-iterated it to the media last year when I filed suit on behalf of Rhonda Mengert, a grandmother from Las Vegas, NV, who was ordered to take down her pants and underwear and show them a feminine hygiene pad.

So why does once a year or so a new news story gets published with new allegations of checkpoint strip searches?

Perhaps one reason is that the TSA doesn’t think forcing you to expose your genitals counts as a strip search. From their latest filing in the Mengert case:

Here, the TSA attempts to borrow from a case in which police officers, sued for conducting an illegal strip search, argued that they really only conducted a “clothing search” that, incidentally, resulted in the person being searched ending up naked in front of a police officer. Their attempt to try the same justification — essentially that the TSA screeners who violated Mrs. Mengert were not interested in looking at her body; rather, she was just incidentally exposed as they searched her clothes — is a bit curious since the case they cited told the police to pound sand:

“Whether or not the officers set out deliberately to inspect a prisoner’s naked body is not the question;  it is, rather, whether the officers did, in fact, perform such a search.”

Wood v. Hancock County Sheriff’s Dept., 354 F.3d 57, 64 (1st Cir. 2003), remanding the case back to the lower court for a jury trial.

I don’t imagine this will go well for them.

If you’re interested in qualified immunity, Bivens liability, and the lengths your government will go to defend blatant misconduct of their employees, the entire motion…

Germany evacuates 100 from coronavirus-gripped Wuhan

Over 100 German citizens and family members have been flown from Wuhan to Frankfurt on Saturday.

None of the passengers have manifestations of the disease, which prompted the lockdown of the Chinese city in an attempt to stop the spread of the infection. However, they will be kept in quarantine for a checkup, since the virus may be spread by people without the pneumonia-like symptoms.

Health Minister Jens Spahn bemoaned the dissemination of conspiracy theories about the coronavirus on social media, saying they only “spread uncertainty” about the disease.

Second Chinese City Bars Residents From Leaving Their Homes, Apple Closes All Offices & Stores In China

Update (1230ET): Vietnam has become the latest country to strictly limit travel with China. SCMP reports that the country has banned all passenger plane traffic to and from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

Apparently, Vietnam, which has confirmed several cases, including at least one instances of human-to-human transmission, doesn’t think much of the WHO’s assurances. Can’t say we blame them. Meanwhile, back in China, a citizen journalist took a video of a sea of unopened boxes allegedly containing medical supplies. We’ve reported in the past that the government is largely relying on ‘volunteers’ to open boxes and sort supplies, leading to massive backlogs.
