For the adventurous candidate out there–

Hillary Clinton is angling for a VP slot on the Democrat Party ticket.

That would be a very bold choice.

The Hill reported:

A number of people in politics, the media and elsewhere are openly speculating that if Democrats wind up with a “brokered convention,” with no strong or viable nominee evident, Hillary Clinton might enter the arena as the “savior” who could unite the delegates and go on to defeat President Donald Trump.

Clinton herself seemed to throw shade at that theory during an interview with Variety at the Sundance Film Festival. When asked about the “urge” to beat Trump, the former Democratic nominee said, “Yeah. I certainly feel the urge because I feel the 2016 election was a really odd time and an odd outcome. And the more we learn, the more that seems to be the case. But I’m going to support the people who are running now and do everything I can to help elect the Democratic nominee.”

Several politically savvy Democrats have told me that “everything” may be a much more plausible and powerful scenario.

FDA Orders Purell To Stop Claiming Its Hand Sanitizer “Eliminates Diseases”

At a time where people all over the world are more concerned than ever about germs, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has sent a strict warning to GoJo, the company that produces Purell products, accusing the company of making false claims about its hand sanitizer eliminating diseases.

In a letter issued the week, the FDA ordered the company to stop posting claims that its hand sanitizer reduces the risk of contracting illnesses like Ebola, norovirus, influenza and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

The letter stated that, “We are not aware of evidence demonstrating that the Purell Healthcare Advanced Hand Sanitizer products as formulated and labeled are generally recognized by qualified experts as safe and effective for use under the conditions suggested, recommended, or prescribed in their labeling.”

The company doesn’t seem to be disputing the accusations and has agreed to update its marketing.

Samantha Williams, corporate communications senior director of GoJo said that the company took immediate action after receiving the letter and “have begun updating relevant website and other digital content as directed by the FDA.”

“It is important to emphasize that the FDA letter was not related to the safety or quality of our products, or our manufacturing processes. Our products can and should continue to be used as part of good hand hygiene practice, to reduce germs. Our intention has always been and continues to be to adhere to FDA guidance while advancing and sharing the latest hygiene science to help improve public health. Uncompromising Integrity is a core value of our Purpose-driven Family Enterprise and we apply this principle to everything we do,” Williams said in a statement.

Some of the primary claims that the FDA took issue with were that Purell products eliminate, “more than 99.99% of most common germs that may cause illness in a healthcare setting, including MRSA & VRE.”

Studies show that alcohol-based sanitizers like Purell do help to eliminate germs, but not to the level that companies like Gojo have claimed in the past.

Multiple People Reported Shot Near Catholic Church in Florida’s Riviera Beach

Local police have responded to the reported shooting incident that occurred on West 20th Street near Avenue E in the city of Riviera Beach in Florida, local media said. According to Riviera Beach Fire Rescue, multiple people have been shot.

It reportedly remains unclear whether anyone was killed in the incident that occurred near Saint Francis of Assis Catholic Church.

Benny Gantz, MKs were in Nachal Oz when rocket alerts sounded

Rocket alert sirens sounded on Saturday in Alumim and Nachal Oz, near the Gaza border, according to the IDF.

A number of Knesset members, including Blue and White leader Benny Gantz, the chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Gabi Ashkenazi, MK Orna Barbai and MK Alon Schuster visited Kibbutz Nahal Oz while a rocket was sounded, The Jerusalem Post's sister publication Maariv reported.

Rocket alert sirens sounded on Saturday in Alumim and Nachal Oz, near the Gaza border, according to the IDF.

One projectile landed in an open field in southern Israel, according to the Shaar HaNegev Regional Council spokesperson. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Earlier on Saturday, Israel Police were called to Sderot after reports of suspected incendiary balloons. Police closed and searched the area. No injuries were reported.

Over the weekend, the IDF struck terror targets in the Gaza Strip, after several rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip that struck southern Israel on Friday, according to the IDF Spokesperson Unit.

“The Israel Air Force struck several outposts of the Hamas terror group in response to rockets fired [at Israel] from the Gaza Strip,” the report stated.

According to Palestinian reports, the IDF caused damage to Hamas outposts but no casualties were reported.

The rockets were fired while tensions remain high over the release of US President Donald Trump’s “Deal of the Century.”

Incoming rocket sirens were activated in the communities of Sufa and Nir Yitzhak, and a statement by the Eshkol Regional Council said that a rocket landed in an open area on Saturday night, causing no damage or injuries.

Two hours earlier, sirens sounded in Sderot. The IDF said the projectile was intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system.
