What if the curvature trigonometry is off because they ARE hiding portions of the map, and the the Earth is actually a sphere or craft divided up in a way that the things relevant to us living our daily lives (24 hour rotations, Seasonal Daylight, Moon phases, Tides, Star positions at night, etc…) are all synced up to line up with what [they] tell us is real. Maybe electro-gravitics allows us to fine tune gravitic pressure and simulate a smaller or larger planetary curvature & rotation speed. The moon just happens to take up the exact same size in the sky as the sun, and orbits in such close harmony to gently nudge the tides each day. I'm leaning towards the idea that our hubris is all that allows us to believe we have any clue what is going on.
Even if we are living in a simulation, or God's eternal consciousness with infinite timelines, there are mathematical principles and laws of physics that need to apply to whatever the true physical situation is.
