Funny you should mention benzos as Lorazepam/Ativan is the Weapon of Choice in nursing homes. That is, until the resident gets too depressed, then they break out the Zoloft.
Also, Ativan + morphine is also what's used in hospices/hospitals when They want to hasten "ease people's final journey to death".
