Is there anything in particular that we should apply this to? We don't have all the information of Thinthread at our disposal.
Oh that. It turns out that they were wrong and that those segments are found in many other organisms. Other researched pointed out that those segments DO exist in other coronavirues. They've since retracted the paper.
oops, i already replied to that guy.
This
Suppose a virus infects an entire population. It makes 1% or people sick enough that they need to be hospitalized and untimely kills 0.1%, mostly elderly. This would not be something for healthy individuals to worry about. But would be something for governments to be very worried about. The US does not have 3,000,000 free hospital beds. And 300,000 deaths are something to be avoided at all costs. It would be a catastrophe.
We human beings naturally look to parents for indications if we should be afraid of something. In modern times this instinct is applied to government officials. So when we see them freaking out, the natural instinct is to follow suit. But we shouldn't. This is one of those times when our million-yo instincts are not well suited to the modern world.
Many viruses use the same or similar replication mechanisms. They can often be target by the same drugs.

What about this do you think is not being disclosed, and why?
Change the 'Comment' metadata. That's enough.
>Hey Corona isn't a big deal. BUT he is not.
He saw that we figured that out on our own. So he doesn't need to post about it.
