Don’t think that lawyer was doing work for his lawfirm. Probly doing a favor for a friend who knows your wife. But anyway, just wanted to say I have sat in on a few child support cases, not a party though. But most of that custody stuff is based purely on an established and legislated formula for determining child support.
You didn’t get beat by that lawyer. Even when there are two lawyers in a hearing, one of them is going to lose.
You could suddenly become unemployed and be going through problems that prevent you from working, if you want to go “scorched earth” with it. But you might hinder yourself further down the line. Find a way to make up the 70/week off the books. $10 per day. If you have a skill, use bartering for your work. Don’t be stupid and advertise in the papers or anything though.
