Yes, hemp is huge, a great fiber plant, the seeds are nutritious, the oil is useful and so on. The original poster was all about pharmaceuticals. Hemp isn't that. But cultivation of hemp in the US would be great for everyone, and a boon for Kentucky and other ag areas. Would be wonderful to get tobacco raising areas a different crop that's beneficial, rather than detrimental.

All good points. Hemp clothes are way comfy and wear very well, though. And the seeds are very nutritious. And as a "weed" it will be easy to grow, without having to spend money fertilizing and cultivating. Anything we can do to make the US more self-sufficient is a win, IMO.
