have you been to a doctor? changed laundry soap? maybe you're itchy and scratching yourself in your sleep, wear gloves to bed for a while.
my niece went to a maritime academy. they intentionally shellback the kids to spare them future hazing as it can be rough on a merchant ship. she had to sing for the entire boat as her initiation. For anons who don't know, a shellback is a sailor who has crossed the equator.
probably for many. I don't know first hand, I've read that in books. it would be a good question for pizzagaters or sea-going anons.
