I've supported Microsoft networks/technologies for over 20+ years in I.T. This is literally not the first time they've let a cert expire on something critically integrated in many of their customers' networks (MS Updates comes to mind). When they completely destroyed the TCP/IP stack (DNS-related) for xp/2003, that was a HUGE deal that required tons of rollbacks/rebuilds for multiple systems across many gov't networks.
What's the "conspiracy" with this Teams outage? When I read the article, I laugh my ass off because this is the type of shit I expect from M$. Everyone working for that company now are masses of Kool-Aid drinkers, and substitute managers that pander to services income generation instead of focusing on what really made that company work from the get-go. Their cloud solutions are ineffectual, lacking in performance, and their various "solutions" have always been haphazardly configured mish-mashes of shitty software that was A-OK until M$ purchased it. That goes for nearly ALL of their stuff.
Regardless, everyone uses it, and it employs other people in IT. For that, many of us are thankful for the "issues" to work on (gainful employment).
