I began listening to Rush after a vacation visit to the Oregon Coast with my son in 92-93. We dragged our tired butts into the motor home after several hours of hard riding on quad runners, me for a nap and my son to turn on the radio a see what was playing. All he could find was some AM station with some guy named Rush talking politics. He was calling the feminists femi-nazies, and every time he mentioned enviro-whackos he played the sound of a big chainsaw revving up. I found the guy funny at first, then I began to listen to what he had to say between the jokes and sound bites. He was almost always right (99.99%) in his take on modern day politics.

I began tuning in every chance I had after that intro to Rush. I hope for the very best outcome for Rush, he is a national treasure, and we need him now more than ever!

Oh, and my son is a quasi-conservative so there is hope for the younger generation. He is in his early 40's and calls bullshit when he sees & hears it. There are many like him in his age group.

Maybe I shouldn't have use the word quasi. He does like to keep under the radar about his political likes & dislikes.
