It could be a good excuse/reason for a Dem not in the primaries to jump in.

Are they laying the groundwork for either Hillary or Michael to jump in. Candidates that don't have to participate in primaries, they get to skip all the bs, and time of the primaries( let the others fight it out like cats, making all of them look bad or unappealing) and because of all the fuckery/problems and fighting it leaves door open to someone to swoop in as the hero to the left.

They then get/sway all the delegates to vote for , lets say Michael Obama,,,under the guise of unity and what is best for the party, and the best way to try to defeat Trump.
