I will never understand how anyone can live in the US illegally.
I cannot even pretend to know how I could possibly live in another country illegally.

I guess that's part of the problem, they aren't being arrested when they should be.
We have immigration laws but they aren't properly enforced.
That's the part I don't understand.
Why are our immigration laws not enforced?
