Only if the worst of the worst crimes are exposed for EVERYONE to come completely face-to-face with is that ever going to drop to the 4 to 6% figure.
Atm, this feels like the same sort of political theater I've been watching for decades, only cranked to 11. Always the side without power screaming and yelling and accusing and acting the fool and the 'opinion-makers' talking about how that party is in "total chaos", have "lost their compass" and are in a "crisis that threatens their unity and creates skepticism amongst their electorate that will be a challenge to overcome for this current election cycle."
BIG shit needs to happen cause I think the number is closer to 20% (I'm generally a pessimist when it comes to the general population questioning their comfortable assumptions; on BOTH sides.) If BIG SHIT doesn't happen, the Right will probably still win this next election, and the 20% will just entrench themselves and get ready for a take over on the never ending seesaw of 2-party opposition politics.
