Yes, Buttigieg sounds German, north German to be exact, gieg would be Geige would be violin, Butti would be Buten would be Butt. Also known as ARSCHGEIGE in German, people are still using it to ridicule same sex male couples or one part of them. Not that I would ever use it against your Mr. B.! Hope that helps.
