I have a liberal colleague who is also a good friend. We generally avoid discussing politics but we talk almost every day before work. Funny thing is people don't realize we are as close as we are b.c we work in different departments and don't make a habit of meeting for lunch and such. Sometimes, tho, we'll catch up for dinner outside of work. The other day we had to discuss something related to a mutual colleague who is far far left, I would say "progressive" left, like late-term abortion left. Anyhow I made the mistake of calling said far leftist a "typical crybaby snowflake who wants their rights/opinions respected but no one else's." I cited their late-term abortion stance. Whoops. Or so I thought. Until the next convo liberal friend said they'd been thinking about that convo and said far-leftie is also self-righteous. Liberal friend also said they are thinking more conservatively as they grow older. I let friend do most of the talking on second convo, but inwardly, I was like, yyyyeeesss!!!!
