A report was done at the University of Cape Town with regard to hits and assassinations in South Africa. The following article has a brief summary and provides a link to it, https://assassinationwitness.org.za/rule-gun-hits-assassinations-south-africa-2000-2017/. It states, “When one analyzes the way political parties gained or lost power at the local-government level, the data reveals another significant finding: more political hits take place in areas where the local-government party in power has remained the same, indicating that hits are more often related to internal power struggles within the political parties – most notably the ANC – than to conflict between them.” I am intrigued that the Open Society Foundation for South Africa is one of the partners of Assassination Witness and were funders of this project.
The ANC government wants to disarm civilians however policemen/military personnel have been complicit in the illegal firearms trade or lost their weapons as explained in the following articles; https://www.politicsweb.co.za/politics/95-million-rounds-of-ammunition-lost-in-six-years-, https://www.illicit-trade.com/2017/11/guns-stolen-police-fuelling-south-africas-illicit-weapons-trade/ and https://www.defenceweb.co.za/featured/theft-and-loss-of-sandf-weapons-and-ammunition-worrying/.
The following article gives one a good idea of scandals related to the ANC which includes David Mabuza, Deputy President of South Africa, https://www.news24.com/citypress/News/mabuzas-skeletons-rise-again-20180303. You can find a copy of the sworn affidavit of Fabio Emmanuel Dos Santos, a hitman, who was apparently hired by David Mabuza at this twitter link, https://twitter.com/vernacnews/status/969113250427228160?lang=en.
This happens when one allows a terrorist organisation to rule a country.…. Law abiding citizens do not appreciate the freedoms they have in a safe country until they lose it.
