This is a very interesting interview, “Norman Dodd On Tax Exempt Foundations” - https://youtu.be/YUYCBfmIcHM

He mentioned that he worked for a “Morgan” bank and shares his experience. He also discusses the Ford Foundation, Carnegie Endowment, Rockefeller Foundation and Guggenheim Foundation, as well as their encouragement for communism and wars, and taking control of education and State Department… So on.

It ends with the following;

Q: “How do you describe the motivation of the people who created the foundations, the big foundations in the very beginning? What is or what was their motivation?”

A: “ Their motivation. Well, let’s take Mr. Carnegie as an example, his publicly declared and steadfast interest was to counteract the departure of the colonies from Great Britain. He was devoted to just putting the pieces back together again.

Q: “How do you see the purpose and direction of the major foundations has changed over the years to the present? What is it today?”

A: “A hundred percent behind meeting the cost of education such as it is presented through the schools and colleges of the United States on the subject of our history has proven already our original ideas to be no longer practical. The future belongs to collectivistic concept and that there is no disagreement on it.”

Q: “Why do the foundations generously support communist causes in the United States?”

A: “Well because to them what communism represents to them a means of developing what we call a monopoly as the organization will say of large-scale industry into an administrable unit.”

Q: “Do they think they will be one of the beneficiaries?”

A: “They will be the beneficiaries of it, yeah.”

In researching the Urban Foundation which was founded by Harry Oppenheimer and Anton Rupert, I discovered Geoffrey Lamb at this link, https://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Urban_Foundation. It states;

“focused on the crafty goal of making neoliberal African economic policies appear to be 'homegrown'" was Geoffrey Lamb (now with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), who while undergoing his political reorientation in England along with another former Communist Party ideologue, Thabo Mbeki.” Patrick Bond, Elite Transition: From Apartheid to Neoliberalism in South Africa (Pluto Press, 2000)

When I explored him further at https://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Geoffrey_Lamb, it states;

“Lamb, now the World Bank representative in London, was an SACP member during the 1960s, and supervised the PhD theses of several South African marxist scholars at Sussex University during the 1970s”

This link, https://www.gatesfoundation.org/Media-Center/Press-Releases/2006/09/Global-Development-Welcomes-Geoffrey-Lamb, is interesting. Below are a few excerpts;

“Earlier this month, Bill and Melinda Gates joined Judith Rodin, president of the Rockefeller Foundation, to announce a major joint effort between the two foundations to increase the productivity of small farms in Africa with the goal of helping to move tens of millions of people out of extreme poverty and significantly reduce hunger.”

“An Irish national born in South Africa, Geoff Lamb has held several senior development positions, most recently as vice president, Concessional Finance and Global Partnerships at the World Bank. In that capacity, he chaired a series of international negotiations through which governments provided the largest increase in more than two decades of World Bank funding for the world's poorest countries, and subsequently agreed on the financial framework to forgive the multilateral debt of 40 countries.

Previously in his academic career, he served as fellow and deputy director of the Institute of Development Studies at Sussex. He has worked extensively in countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, the former Soviet Union, and the Middle East.

Lamb was a founding member of the Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. He is currently also chairman of the Board of the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, a public-private partnership supporting research and development to find a safe and effective AIDS vaccine.”
