US Space Force conducts first ICBM launch after Moscow warned of threat of renewed arms race (PHOTOS)

The newly-created US Space Force has test-fired a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) for the first time as Russia blasted it for “lowering the bar” on using nuclear weapons.

The unarmed land-based missile was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California shortly after midnight on Wednesday. It was the first such development test since the facility became part of the US Space Force, which was established as an independent military branch in late December. The US previously test-fired a missile of this type in October.

The Minuteman missiles are the key component of the US' land-based nuclear arsenal. The launch was crucial to the work on further “testing and evaluation of the ICBM program, and many space and range programs to come,” 30th Operations Group commander Colonel Kris Barcomb said.

Trump's Ability to Expose the Dems' Radical Agenda Will Probably Get Him Re-Elected

Donald Trump had Democrats squirming like little children in their seats during last night's State of the Union speech, largely because the president gave voice to the deepest desires of Democratic politicians to transform America into a radical, far-left socialist paradise.

Democrats don't like the exposure. They would prefer to stealthily make these radical changes so as not to upset the voter. They couch their transformation in people-friendly terms like "family" and "community" while the true nature of their insidious plans remains partially obscured.

But if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it probably isn't a goose. The president spent a lot of time during his speech highlighting the Democrats' health care plans, much to the discomfort of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates who have mostly embraced the Medicare for All scheme.

China virus infects Myanmar Belt and Road plans

Lethal coronavirus outbreak highlights unforeseen risk of greater connectivity with China

In mid-January, Chinese President Xi Jinping made a historic visit to Myanmar with a pocket full of promises.

Xi vowed to build and finance big new infrastructure projects to connect the two neighbors in unprecedented trade-promoting ways in a so-called China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, which if realized as envisioned would serve as a poster child for his wider Belt and Road Initiative in Southeast Asia.

Fast forward three weeks to the coronavirus outbreak, which has killed at least 25 and infected over 24,000 in China, has spread contagion panic worldwide – and has suddenly put those grand Myanmar plans into certain doubt, as Beijing looks inward to contain the epidemic and Naypyidaw weighs new downsides of greater bilateral connectivity.

A U.S. court blamed Roundup for causing cancer. Then Canada defended the herbicide, emails show

Social Sharing

Agriculture Canada says herbicide is crucial for modern farming, despite 'stakeholder concerns' over safety

Agriculture Ministry officials worried the government's position on the health risks of Canada's most widely used herbicide were "contradictory" following a landmark court ruling blaming glyphosate for causing cancer, internal emails show.

In 2018, a groundskeeper in California won a multimillion-dollar judgment in San Francisco State Court after arguing the weed killer, frequently sold under the brand Roundup, caused his cancer.

That case inspired a slew of ongoing lawsuits in the U.S. and Canada. Plaintiffs accuse Monsanto, the corporation behind the chemical, of poisoning them. A spokesperson for Bayer, Monsanto's parent company, said the herbicide is safe when used as directed, citing more than 100 scientific studies backing that position.

U.S. litigation also triggered a series of emails among Agriculture Canada officials who outlined plans to defend the chemical, according to government records released under access to information laws.

"Recent media coverage of the U.S. court rulings linking glyphosate to cancer cases may increase stakeholder concerns with the safety of glyphosate," said one internal email in 2019.

In a message with the subject, "OVERVIEW OF THE CHEMICAL ROUNDUP, AND HOW TO COUNTER CLAIMS THAT IT CAUSES CANCER," an Agriculture Canada official worried the government's position on its health risks "may appear contradictory."

Footage appearing to show a plane which overran the runway at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport has been shared on social media and shows the aircraft in flames.

The video shows the plane completely broken in half and appears to have been recorded from inside a moving vehicle or another plane at the airport.

The Hundred-Year Lie: How Food and Medicine Are Destroying Your Health

"A frightening wake-up call… if Fast Food Nation made you consider some serious lifestyle changes, The Hundred-Year Lie will inspire you to go ten steps farther." – Boston Herald

Combining the impact of the classic bestseller Silent Spring with Fast Food Nation, The Hundred-Year Lie: How Food and Medicine Are Destroying Your Health presents a devastating exposé of how chemicals in everyday products are ruining our health.

Over the past one hundred years, we have been guinea pigs in a vast chemistry experiment that uses our bodies, our health, and our good will to test the proposition that modern science can improve upon nature.

In The Hundred-Year Lie, investigative journalist RandallFitzgerald shatters dozens of myths being perpetuated by the chemical, pharmaceutical and processed food industries

Find out why you would never be FDA-approved—and why humans are becoming one of the most polluted species on the planet:

• The average American now carries a “body burden” of 700 or more synthetic chemicals, including Teflon, plastics, and dozens of pesticides.

• Musk fragrances used in detergents and air fresheners are not filtered out by our current water treatment facilities, ending up in our drinking water.

• The artificial sweetener aspartame, an ingredient in 1,200 food products from diet drinks to chewing gum, has been linked to eighty-eight toxic symptoms.

Fitzgerald not only sheds light on the problems we face from the unprecedented chemical onslaught, he presents suggestions for what we can to do to turn the tide.

Remember That the Democrats Sat While You Were Celebrated Last Night

I end a lot of articles about how the Democrats really feel about you by telling you to vote accordingly, but Trump’s State of the Union speech highlighted the Democrat’s utter contempt for President Donald Trump, you, and this country last night as they sat through almost every applause line that celebrated you doing well.

As the GOP highlighted in a video they posted to Twitter, the Democrats heard about the all-time low unemployment levels of the black community, the Hispanic community, the young adult community, and more. This should be a reason to celebrate. We should see our elected leaders getting to their feet and showing support, but instead only half the room decided to stand.

The other half, the Democrats, sat still, arms folded, and practically seethed at times.

Reminder for Democrats: It’s ok to applaud good news. pic.twitter.com/wH0DKNqx3D
