Fuck it, Anons.

Today is ACQUITTAL DAY.

Story Time.

My family is friends with another family. This other family is a family of genius scholars. Perdue, Harvard, all the Ivy League bullshit we know and hate. Smart, though…

So anyway, there’s this guy, let’s call him Pete. Pete went to two really expensive schools where he learned electrical engineering and shit. Anyways, fast forward to thirty years later. He now works for a very large aerospace corporation out of the PNW.

Family get together.

He’s there along with my family, and we get to talking (quite a few beers in). I ask him what he’s working on. Says he can’t tell anyone. Hmmm…okay, I’ll put that shit on the back burner. Few hours later I come back and he is TOASTED.

So I slip the question in again….

Holy Shit. He works in their skunkworks. Working on half a dozen projects, all electrical-based. Cool shit, to be sure. So I poke and prod him for it.

This is what he told me.

The corporation is working on a prototype of a propulsion system completely powered by electricity. Working models are already available and have been airborne.

They’re working on electrogravitics. Just got over 300 million more dollars to complete that project, and will be available first to the military within the next three years. Fuck me, that’s cool.

Quantum technology. Didn’t get too involved in that, but he said that the team that is working on it scares the shit out of him because every time the do a test of their project (of which Pete has no clue what they’re actually building), two earthquakes have been triggered and there has been a response from the cosmos because of it. Like, a quantum return signal, I guess.

What Pete is working on himself is the electrical circuitry of these devices. Not necessarily the components, but the mapping of the electrical pathways. Ok, he’s a fancy electricity plumber. But with clearances.

So I ask him, what is the most serious thing they’re working on? He said they have an electrical weapon. One capable of EMP-ing brains. Doesn’t kill people, just hits the delete button on the mind. Wouldn’t that eventually kill them, I asked? He said no. Apparently, it was tested in collaboration with another country during a natural disaster (to hide their operations). The result was that the weapon completely deleted everyone’s psyche, leaving only the animalistic aspects of the mind, the instincts. Basically, this weapon turned people into not-dead zombies, because they would walk around real slow and eat whatever they could find. Fuck me. Zombies? He said no, they’re not undead, just mindless, quite literally. The only parts still working are the ones that are there to keep you alive.

Pete was shot and killed on his way home from the gathering. No suspects ever found, despite multiple witnesses. You can’t tell me they weren’t listening.
