Some of it seemed directed at Pence, possibly to distract him (on camera) when he should be paying attention to POTUS.

He didn't shake Mike Pence's hand, either. Nancy skipped the time-honored formal introduction. I suspect that POTUS and VPOTUS had anticipated "something" and had choreographed the response ahead of time. The rest of the Rs certainly had. They were expecting bullshit from the Ds and were prepared to offset it. Mitch McConnell didn't get up with the group. I know he lived with the effects of childhood tuberculosis all of his adult life, but is he having trouble simply raising from his seat?
It was interesting watching Pence ignore Nancy's childish behavior and vain attempt to control the Ds. It took a lot of self-restraint to avoid swatting her hand away or just laughing at her. She kept trying to distract him with conversation but he, very intelligently, did not take the bait.

No. The zebra has not changed its stripes. It's a feint going into the 2020 elections. Look for them to be "fair and balanced" where there is little consequence for doing so and then change their tunes on the larger things after the DNC convention.
I'm also leery of the newfound voice and unity the R party is showing at present, but that is a topic for another time.

Archive both pictures. I strongly suspect that someone else will be sitting in that seat fairly soon.

First of all, nice digits!
The way this was handled, it was impossible for the media to ignore it and implies that POTUS is in substantial agreement with Rush. They have been golf buddies for years and POTUS just made sure that Rush got the recognition he so richly deserves.
Really love the look on Mrs. Limbaugh's face -- she loves that guy. Can also see the pain behind the smile.
