also, sun spots are areas of the sun that are cooler than the rest of the sun. so fewer sun spots means the suns energy output is actually increased. but when taking into account the size of the sun, and the huge amount of energy it creates, the difference in energy output at solar maximum, (most sunspots) and solar minimum(fewest sunspots) is so minuscule that it cant actually affect the earth in anyway. at all. this story has been making the rounds and is absolute bullshit. next time the fear mongering mockingbird media want to run a story about solar activity, maybe dont get your info from a "professor" who is a mathematician/electrical engineer.
