I understand that when POTUS says unemployment is down for Asians, Hispanics, and Blacks, that he is just trying to get their votes.

 

But, it always rubs me the wrong way, bc, it ignores whites. As if whites never have a problem getting employment. It seems to perpetuate the idea of "white privilege" when whites have actually been wronged for the past 60 years bc of affirmative action.

I guess I'm taking it personally bc I'm looking for a job and job applications still ask people what race they are. I don't know if I should put down my race or not bc I don't know if it will help me or hinder me.
