Snow Moon’ Will Be First Supermoon of 2020 to Light Up Sky This Weekend

A “Snow Moon” is expected to appear between Friday evening and Monday morning— but do not expect it to affect the weather.

According to the Farmer’s Almanac, Native American tribes in the northeast called the second full moon of winter the Snow Moon because of the heavy snow that usually comes in February.

The Snow Moon also happens to be a supermoon, meaning it will be one of the biggest moons of the year and will look larger than normal when rising and setting.

A supermoon takes place when the moon is at its closest point to earth while in orbit, according to NASA.

The moon is important as it is widely celebrated in different cultural traditions. The moon signals the start of Tu BiShvat, or the “New Year of the Trees” in the Jewish tradition.

The moon is also the first full moon to take place during the Chinese New Year, which marks the end of Chinese New Year celebrations and the day the Chinese Lantern Festival takes place.

The Snow Moon will be at its fullest at 2:33 a.m. EST on Sunday, February 9, and is expected to be the first supermoon of 2020.

Ohio Police Arrest 14 Men in Child Sex Trafficking Sting

anons this is so sickening to how many men and women are engaging into child sex trafficking. Seriously I’m sick to my stomach knowing how many truly sick individuals in this world, and our country

2:36

Jackson Township, Ohio, law enforcement apprehended 14 men seeking sex with underage boys and girls in a four-day sting operation.

Township Police Chief Chief Mark H. Brink told reporters that a team of officers used as-yet unidentified social media apps to pose as children between the ages of 12 and 15. Some of the unwitting pedophiles responded with nude pictures of themselves, while others showed up for their “date” with condoms and lubricant.

Lured to an undisclosed location by the opportunity to rape children, the offenders — including a local preschool teacher — were taken into custody one by one. One suspect was delayed because his wife was home, while another fled for all of 300 yards once he realized the 15-year-old he was trying to molest was actually an adult officer.

Identified would-be predators include Daylon Rookard, Jonathan Settle, Adam Leidtke, Adam Burandt, Austin Lyle, Cody Allen, Daniel Zwick, Daniel Fiorentino, Jeremia Smith, Jerry Ragsdale, Punit Saraf, Reginald McCullough, Ryan Malcuit, and Robert Becker.

“These offenders are preying on the vulnerability and curiosity of these children to victimize them not through force or coercion or the promise of money, but by simple grooming techniques and pretending to be interested in them,” Brink said in a statement.

According to Stark County Sheriff George T. Maier, the sting was prepared over the course of five months. All suspects, save a single fast food worker, were released on a $50,000 bond shortly after being arrested. All suspects have been charged with importuning and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, according to Stark County Jail records obtained by the Canton Rep.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, the State Highway Patrol cooperated with other law enforcement agencies to bring these men to justice. Brink reassured the public that the success of “Operation Unsportsmanlike Conduct” does not mean police are going to slow down. “We are going to continue to have a presence in this area,” Brink said, continuing:

We want to get out in front of this issue; we don’t simply want to react to it. And we want these predators to know that if you think you’re going to meet up with a child in Jackson Township or Stark County, there’s a good chance that you’re going to meet up with a law enforcement agent.

Or, as he then summarized, “Predator beware.”

THEY REALLY HATE THEIR AUDIENCE: Leaked FOX News Internal Memo Refers to Hannity, John Solomon and Rudy Giuliani as “Disinformation

FOX News REALLY hates their audience.

A leaked internal memo obtained by the far left Daily Beast and Law and Crime refers to Hannity and Rudy Giuliani as “disinformation.”

The 162-page memo, entitled “Ukraine, Disinformation, & the Trump Administration,” created by Bryan S. Murphy, slams Rudy Giuliani, investigative journalist John Solomon and top ranked FOX News host Sean Hannity.

It is not clear what Bryan Murphy considers “disinformation” but Rudy Giuliani John Solomon’s reporting includes Ukrainian documents and testimony from Ukrainian officials.

FOX News better have a good explanation for this.

FOX News viewers don’t like being lied to.

And they especially don’t like blanket smears against their favorite conservatives based on garbage reporting.

The Daily Beast reported:

An internal Fox News research briefing book obtained by The Daily Beast openly questions Fox News contributor John Solomon’s credibility, accusing him of playing an “indispensable role” in a Ukrainian “disinformation campaign.”

The document also accuses frequent Fox News guest Rudy Giuliani of amplifying disinformation, as part of an effort to oust former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, and blasts Fox News guests Victoria Toensing and Joe diGenova—both ardent Trump boosters—for “spreading disinformation.”

The 162-page document, entitled “Ukraine, Disinformation, & the Trump Administration,” was created by Fox News senior political affairs specialist Bryan S. Murphy, who produces research from what is known as the network’s Brain Room—a newsroom division of researchers who provide information, data, and topic guides for the network’s programming.

The research brief is especially critical of Solomon, a former opinion columnist at The Hill whose opinion pieces about Ukraine made unsubstantiated claims about its government interfering in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Solomon’s pieces for The Hill fueled Giuliani’s efforts to dig up dirt in Ukraine, which eventually helped lead to President Donald Trump’s impeachment. Trump has also frequently cited Solomon’s questionable reporting on Twitter in his own defense.
