i could/do see that being the case
I've been aware of prophecy being fulfilled exactly as prophesied (but not at all as expected) since knowing that the jews failed to recognize their own messiah. Many things beyond that have strengthened said conclusion. i think most Christians concept of the mark of the beast is completely wrong, and it's already among us and has been for decades.
