Brexit Leader Nigel Farage Meets With President Trump at White House: ‘Great Things Ahead For Our Two Countries’

Nigel Farage met President Donald Trump Thursday evening at the White House, prompting him to observe “there should be great things ahead for our two countries.”

The Brexit veteran revealed the visit to the Oval Office where he had a “great meeting” with President Trump amid a week of meetings and events in the United States for the British political trailblazer.

When Farage met with President Trump immediately after the 2016 election — receiving the honour of being the first British politician to do so — he lobbied the President to return the bust of British wartime leader Sir Winston Churchill to the Oval Office which had been removed by President Obama. Mr Farage made reference to that episode Thursday night in his notes on his visit to the Oval office, writing that it was “good to see the bust of Winston Churchill”.

In a note of optimism — common to both the Brexit leader and President Trump, who frequently speaks about his hope for a strong trade deal between the UK and the U.S. in the new post-Brexit world — Mr Farage concluded: “there should be great things ahead for our two countries.”

A White House source confirmed to Breitbart London the Oval Office meeting took place Thursday evening.

Mr Farage has already said he intends to spend much more of 2020 in the United States, presumably to campaign for President Trump. In the meanwhile, he has also vowed to keep an eye on British politics, promising to stage a comeback if the nominally conservative government of Boris Johnson breaks its promises on delivering a real Brexit.

Earlier in the week, Mr Farage had been present in the gallery for the State of the Union address, an occasion he reflected on afterwards, drawing comparisons between the petulant behaviour of the European Parliament President and House Speak Nancy Pelosi, tearing up the President’s speech.

Speaking at a convocation of Liberty University on Wednesday, Mr Farage noted how the European Parliament President had turned off his microphone, silencing his final ever speech to the body before Britain left the European Union last Friday. He said of Pelosi: “she made herself look even worse than the president of the European Parliament. Bad behaviour! What she was doing was dishonouring the occasion, dishonouring herself, and dishonouring the position of speaker.”

After his speech, Mr Farage was awarded with an honorary doctorate of laws by the university, an honour he noted he shared with President Trump, who has also been so honoured by the institution.

Mexican Judge Frees Cartel Lord’s Mistress After He Threatened Civilians with Car Bombs

A Mexican federal judge ruled the recent arrest of a feared cartel lord’s mistress was illegal days after the Cartel Santa Rosa De Lima said car bombs would be used against civilians.

This week, an unnamed federal judge dismissed the case against Karina Mora Villalobos and three of her associates, claiming authorities did not have proper warrants. The judge also found that prosecutors could not link their suspects to the weapons and explosives seized during their arrests, La Silla Rota reported.

BOMBSHELL: Newly discovered document points to missing $1.8 billion in Ukraine

Glenn explained how the money trails all tie back to a corrupt and brutal oligarch named Igor Kolomoisky.

"This guy [Kolomoisky] is actually viewed in Ukraine … as a brutal, brutal oligarch. Nobody messes with him. Okay? Chainsaws to the neck. Nobody messes with him," Glenn said. "But we also found out, there are a lot of people that view him as an extreme patriot. Now it gets interesting. Now it really starts to get interesting. Why is he a patriot? Because he's a guy that buys arms, and funds armies. He's a guy, when it comes to Russia, he's a guy that happened to, as all of our money disappears, to go on a spending spree."

Turkey Demands Russia Stop Syria From Fighting in Idlib

Syrian forces enter al-Qaeda-held town or Saraqeb

After the Turkish military attacked and killed scores of Syrian soldiers in the same area, Syria has launched a new offensive against al-Qaeda-held Saraqeb, and Syrian forces have reportedly entered the town.

Turkey is very averse to the idea of Syria taking any more territory from al-Qaeda, and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu is demanding Russia immediately force Syria to stop all offensives in Idlib Province.

Cavusoglu said Russia must “immediately stop the regime,” and that Turkey considers Syria contesting these towns as a source of “humanitarian drama.”

Syria’s interest in Idlib, beyond it being part of Syria and just rife with Islamists, is that two towns, Maarat al-Numaan and Saraqeb, are on the main highway between Damascus and Aleppo. Syria would very much like full control of that highway, and having already taken the former town, they are pushing to take the later as well.

Russia is unlikely to get immediately involved, with the foreign ministry saying that some of its military specialists were killed in Idlib in attacks by militants in the deescalation zone. It’s the same area being contested, and the militants in question are the same Islamist bloc, including both al-Qaeda and some more overtly Turkish-backed factions.

Senate Ethics Complaint Filed Against Rand Paul for Repeated Mention of Alleged Ukraine Whistleblower’s Name

If you can’t beat ’em, persecute ’em. A lawfare ethics complaint has been filed with the Senate against Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) for his repeated mention of the name of the alleged Ukraine whistleblower during the course of the impeachment trial of President Trump. The complaint accuses Paul of criminal acts and endangering the alleged whistleblower.

Paul posed a question for the House Managers and the President’s legal team that was twice rejected by presiding officer Chief Justice John Roberts–once verbally from the chair–over two successive days. Paul then held a press conference where he read his question aloud. Paul also published the question on Twitter. Later during a break in the trial when senators gave speeches about the trial leading up to the votes on the articles of impeachment, Paul read his question on the Senate floor accompanied by a posterboard with the text of the question.

US Defense Department Offers 11 More Bases to Host Coronavirus Evacuees

The US Defense Department announced Thursday that 11 more bases may be made available to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to quarantine more evacuees from China amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Thursday declared that 11 military installations near major airports will be made available for people coming from China “should HHS facilities become filled,” Military.com reported.

The potential installations include the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii, the Great Lakes Training Center Navy Base in Illinois, the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth in Texas, the Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Georgia, Fort Hamilton in New York, the Naval Base Kitsap in Washington, the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, DC, the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey, the Fort Custer Training Center in Michigan and the March Air Reserve and Travis Air Force Bases in California.

The March Air Reserve and Travis Air Force Bases are already hosting coronavirus evacuees, as are the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in California, Fort Carson in Colorado, Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and Camp Ashland in Nebraska. Around 200 evacuees arrived at the March Air Reserve Base last week, according to Military.com. On Wednesday, around 350 evacuees arrived at Travis AFB. Although none of the travelers have shown any symptoms associated with the coronavirus, they will remain quarantined at the base for the next two weeks.

"Under the request, DoD support at each location will be limited to providing housing support for up to 20 people as they undergo a period of quarantined observation," the Pentagon recently said, referring to the installations already housing evacuees.

The HHS is responsible for the transportation, care and security of all evacuees and must make sure that no “evacuated personnel are transferred to any DoD installation if they are infected or ill," the Pentagon declared earlier this week. Additionally, military and DoD personnel are not allowed to have direct contact with evacuees.

Officials confirmed last week that using the bases as quarantine centers will not affect military readiness.

"The department's primary responsibility is the safety of our force, our families and our base communities," officials stated. "DoD personnel will follow guidance in the memorandum, 'Force Health Protection Guidance for the Novel Coronavirus Outbreak,' to reduce risk."

The quarantine measures were announced on January 31, with Alex Azar, the US secretary of HHS, explaining that any foreign nationals, other than immediate family of US citizens and permanent residents, who have traveled to China within the past 14 days could be denied entry into the US. As for US citizens who have been in China's Hubei Province, where the virus originated, they "will be subject to up to 14 days of mandatory quarantine to ensure they’re provided proper medical care and health screening.”

The coronavirus has infected more than 31,000 people worldwide, but just 12 within the US. Only 317 infections have been reported outside of mainland China. The virus has led to 638 deaths, 618 of which occurred in Hubei Province, according to the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science.

Netflix Reveals It Removed Nine Programs Due to Government Takedown Requests

Netflix, one of the world’s leading video streaming entertainment sites, acknowledged in a new transparency report that it has removed fewer than a dozen programs in response to governmental requests since the platform began streaming in 2007.

In Netflix’s Environmental Social Governance report, the company revealed that as of February 2020, a total of nine programs and/or show episodes were pulled from the service “due to government takedown demands.”

The first of the government requests came in 2015, when the New Zealand Film and Video Labeling Body submitted a written notice asking Netflix to pull the documentary film “The Bridge” from its New Zealand network. At the time, New Zealand officials had declared the film’s content to be “objectionable,” as it focused on the suicide attempts that occured at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.

Two years later, in 2017, the agency received two more requests: one from the Vietnamese Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information and another from the German Commision for Youth Protection. This time, Vietnamese officials wanted the 1987 film “Full Metal Jacket” pulled from the country’s streaming options, and German officials wanted George A. Romero’s horror classic “Night of the Living Dead” dropped, since a version of the film was banned in the country.

Singapore filed its first request in 2018 after three marijuana-focused series - “Cooking on High,” “The Legend of 420” and “Disjointed” - came onto the streaming platform. The Singapore Infocomm Media Development Authority again issued requests in 2019 and in 2020 to remove “The Last Temptation of Christ” and “The Last Hangover,” respectively.

The ninth request was filed by Saudi Arabia’s Communication and Information Technology Commission in 2019 when the overseeing body issued its own written demand for one episode of “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj” to be pulled from Netflix’s network in the kingdom.

Of all the content removed from the streaming service, Netflix’s decision to pull the plug on Minhaj’s Saudi Arabia episode, which focused on the country’s involvement in Yemen, ties with the US and crackdown on women’s rights, among other Saudi-centered topics, caused the largest of uproars.

In line with Singapore’s explanation that the highlighted video content violated local laws, Saudi officials later indicated that the request was issued because the particular episode reportedly violated the kingdom’s anti-cybercrime law.

According to Axios, Netflix initially works with local regulators to come to an agreement to keep content available, and that in the event the involved parties are unable to do so, the content gets pulled. However, the specified footage isn’t officially removed until Netflix receives a written government request.

Not listed among Netflix’s most recent purges is “The First Temptation of Christ,” a 2019 Brazilian comedy by the group Porta dos Fundos that depicts Jesus in a same-gender relationship. At the time of its release, the film gained a slew of negative attention, with more than 1.2 million people signing a petition calling for its removal. After its December 2019 release, a Brazilian judge ordered Netflix to cut the film from the Brazilian streaming network.

Only time will tell if “The First Temptation of Christ” will wind up on the axed list. Netflix has indicated that it will continue to publish its transparency report each year.

Just days after Ford reported a $1.7 billion operating loss during the fourth quarter, released 2020 guidance that failed to impress, and prompted a nearly double-digit drop in its shares in after-hours trade, the Detroit carmaker has announced a major executive shakeup on Friday.

WSJ reports that Ford President Joe Hinrichs is retiring, an ouster likely tied to the company’s poor performance, now that its shares are trading at less than $9 while Tesla trades at an almost unbelievable multiple.

The FBI has elevated racially-motivated violent extremism to a "national threat priority," in yet another sign that the U.S. government has finally woken up to the threat posed by white nationalists and neo-Nazis at home and abroad.

In a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, FBI Director Christopher Wray outlined several concrete steps the agency had taken to combat violent far-right extremists, explaining that the "national threat priority" designation puts those groups or individuals on the same footing as ISIS" in terms of the resources the FBI will devote to it.

"We're particularly focused on domestic terrorism, especially racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists," said Wray. "Not only is the terror threat diverse, it's unrelenting."

Wray's announcement comes just two weeks after FBI agents arrested eight members of the violent neo-Nazi group The Base, three of whom were allegedly discussing firing into the crowd during the large pro-gun rally in Virginia last month. In recent months, the FBI also foiled two synagogue bombings, Wray said.

Jeffrey Epstein Told One Secret Before He Died That Is Bad News for Bill Clinton

Bill Clinton’s connections to alleged pedophile Jeffrey Epstein did not disappear from public scrutiny after Epstein’s mysterious death.

In fact, Clinton is finding himself facing new questions about the strange circumstances surrounding Epstein’s supposed suicide.

And now the bombshell story broke that Jeffrey Epstein told one secret before he died that is bad news for Bill Clinton.

Americans – as well as investigators – could never figure out how Epstein accumulated his fortune or how he managed to evade prison for so long despite a very public life that included young girls.

Steven Hoffenberg was Epstein’s former business partner.

In 1996 the FBI arrested Hoffenberg on charges of defrauding investors.

But Hoffenberg spilled the beans on one of Epstein’s most closely guarded secrets to author Dylan Howard for the book “Epstein: Dead Men Tell No Tales.”

In his conversations with Howard, Hoffenberg revealed the fact that Epstein confessed to him that he was a spy for a foreign government.

Former Trump Labor Secretary Alex Acosta alluded to this truth during the Trump transition.

Acosta was the federal prosecutor in Miami that cut the sweetheart plea deal with Epstein that let him basically walk despite the government having Epstein dead to rights.

But Vicky Ward reported in Vanity Fair that Acosta told Trump transition officials that he was told to leave Epstein alone because “Epstein belonged to Intelligence.”

In “Dead Men Tell No Tales,” Hoffenberg told Howard that Epstein’s intelligence work involved his longtime confidante Ghislaine Maxwell.

“There is a problem, because [Alex] Acosta in 2008, the reason that Epstein didn’t get any time and got a non-prosecution agreement was because of the intelligence agencies involvement with Epstein, and the two Maxwells, in Israel. I know that for a fact from Epstein,” Hoffenberg recounted to Howard.

Hoffenberg explained that Epstein would have let him in on this secret because of how close they were.

“He admitted this to me. That was not a core problem because he shared with me thousands of conversations; everything about his life. I mean, I was like his brother. We were inseparable for a long time. So I know every step of what you write,” Hoffenberg explained.

Hoffenberg also revealed that Epstein was deceiving the CIA and FBI on behalf of foreign intelligence services and that his connections to prominent individuals like British Royal Family member Prince Andrew was one big reason his crimes were swept under the rug.

“He was needed by the CIA or the FBI for intelligence, because he was manipulating the American intelligence for the overseas organizations: MI6, the Israeli’s, and the Saudi’s. That’s what he was doing. They were afraid of the exposure that he brought to the table for what he did with Prince Andrew, MI6, the Israeli’s, and the Saudi’s. That’s why (Alex) Acosta said to the media, ‘This is an intelligence criminal case, this is not a standalone criminal case.’ Acosta said that,” Hoffenberg concluded.

Bill Clinton was also a known associate of Epstein.

After Epstein’s death, Clinton told a number of lies about how long he knew Epstein, where they met and how often they traveled together.

Epstein’s involvement with foreign intelligence services raises the prospect that had Hillary Clinton won the election another country could have blackmailed the United States into acting against its interests or face the true nature of Bill Clinton’s ugly connections to Jeffrey Epstein being exposed to the world.

The 162-page memo, entitled “Ukraine, Disinformation, & the Trump Administration,” created by Bryan S. Murphy, slams Rudy Giuliani, investigative journalist John Solomon and top ranked FOX News host Sean Hannity.

The memo by Bryan Murphy also says Rudy Giuliani is “easily fooled” by Ukrainians. Rudy Giuliani has remarkable record of 4,000 convictions as Associate US Attorney and defended President Trump in the attempted coup by Robert Mueller and Andrew Weissman. He is hardly a gullible fool!

EPSTEIN JUDGE: “NO EXPLANATION” FOR $15.5 MILLION SENT TO HIS BANK AFTER DEATH

During a hearing in the Virgin Islands on Tuesday, Judge Carolyn Hermon-Purcell demanded lawyers representing Jeffrey Epstein’s estate explain $2.6 million transferred from the estate to a bank he owned.

“There’s no explanation for it,” Judge Hermon-Purcell said of the transaction.

Epstein’s Virgin Islands bank, named Southern County International, was originally set up in 2014 for his offshore clients.

The initial launch of the bank is questionable in itself as Epstein was already a convicted sex offender at the time.

In the years prior to his death, the bank appeared to be non-operational, but after he died, a series of multi-million dollar payments were made by Epstein’s estate.

$15.5 million was originally transferred from the Epstein estate to the bank in December of 2019 and the bank sent back $2.6, leaving $12.9 million in the offshore bank.

Before the transactions, the bank had only $693,157 in assets.

Just weeks after the bank held $12.9 million, nearly all the money vanished as “payments” were made for things like “cable” bills, leaving only $500,000.

One of the estate’s lawyers said the transfers were made in error, but Judge Hermon-Purcell isn’t satisfied and asked for more details.

Judge Hermon-Purcell could also be opening a compensation fund for Epstein’s victims using money from the estate and other assets.

Even if the U.S. administration decided to leave—or was evicted from—Iraq immediately, the bill of war to the U.S. to date would be an estimated $1,922 billion in current dollars. This figure includes not only funding appropriated to the Pentagon explicitly for the war, but spending on Iraq by the State Department, the care of Iraq War veterans and interest on debt incurred to fund 16 years of U.S. military involvement in the country.

Note the final sentence—“debt incurred.” Banksters love war, mass murder, incalculable suffering and misery precisely for this reason—the inhumane practice of usury, compounded, no matter the consequences.

It’s interesting how the neoliberal regime change agenda is characterized by the propaganda media. Defense One is produced by Atlantic Media and is owned by the “centrist” David Bradley (he donated handsomely to the Obama and Clinton campaigns).

Add to this approximately $59 billion spent by the State Department and USAID on Iraq and Syria for democracy promotion, reconstruction, training, and removing unexploded bombs.
