>Some parts of my state won't let a felon rent an apt until 7 years after thier conviction
Fuck. You think that's bad, I'm being punished indefinitely for petty weed charges that I got 15 years ago. Amazing that the state now gets to collect several millions of dollars to "regulate" the industry now. Which is really just finding new ways to collect more millions of dollars, while they continue to ignore how bad they fucked over people like myself, as they slowly write new laws that continue to allow them to not admit their guilt while still maintaining enough vagueness to allow the courts to continue to make the millions it was making wrongfully prosecuting innocent citizens for for decades, while failing to write any type of legislation that allows big pharma to be held accountable for any one of the thousands of blunders they've made that have cost countless numbers of people everything from health, to sanity, to entire loved ones.
Basically, I live in a nazi state. And they've continued to make it impossible for me to get my life back, because they already fined me everything I had, stole entire vehicles, tried to brainwash me multiple times, infringing on my basic human rights in numerous ways, prevented me my ability to work, while simultaneously require me to pay several thousand more dollars to them to ask for their permission to reinstate my license, after they require more brainwashing programs that they've maintained should only come in the form which they approve, so they choose only that which blatantly inflicts my freedom of religion, and they maintain their "right" to hold this over my head indefinitely. Even though I've never hurt anyone at all in the process, or have ever committed any type of violent crime what-so-ever, I have been labelled as "dangerous", so anytime anyone runs my ID, I wind up in handcuffs, as anyone and everyone with me gets interrogated, hoping they don't wind up with charges just for associating with me. Something which they have done before. Not one but TWO whole girlfriends were charged with "loitering in the presence of", as I was handed down additional charges (again, for tiny amounts of pot). Including one "conviction" where I actually had the doctor's prescription, and that GF had her med card from a different state, but just moved back and had yet to register with this state. And the other GF, for the record, had severe back issues after undergoing experimental traction surgery, to which she wound up addicted to pain pills after said surgery, and had little to no serious alternative for her pain, yet the state just loves arresting people who try to live a halfway decent life (this one took place shortly before the state finally passed medical, and she was one of the first in the state to get a legit med card).
Either way, shit like that put serious dampers on the relationships, along with my ability to recover after years of getting fucked over. Even though there were a few times where I've had to deal with that type of shit which didn't lead to another arrest, people really don't like driving you someplace ever again, when they realize that getting pulled over with a person like myself will make you "guilty" of being "suspect", and may or may not result in your vehicle getting searched for additional hour or longer, whether or not they find anything on my person or not, which they will surely search me, after handcuffing me, often after they draw guns to remove me from the vehicle. Remember, I'm literally "dangerous" in their eyes. I know people who've committed armed robbery who've been treated much nicer, and had a much easier time getting their lives back together, as I continue to rot away, after my state decided to teach me a lesson, by stealing all the money I was working my ass off for to try to continue my education. And the worst part is, many retards that work for the system actually think they are doing people like myself a favor.
