Trump Supporters Attacked After Van Plows Through GOP Voter Registration Tent In Florida

Approximately six Trump supporters were attacked in the parking lot of a Jacksonville, Florida Walmart Saturday afternoon at around 3:50 p.m. when a man in his 20s plowed through a voter registration tent, according to the local Sheriff's Office.

It happened so quickly," said volunteer Nina Williams, one of five women who were working the tent. "I just barely got out of the way."

After driving through the tent, the man stopped, took a video, and flipped off the Republicans before driving off.

US military confirms 2 troops killed & 6 injured in Afghanistan by ‘individual in Afghan uniform’

At least two US service members were killed and six others injured after an individual in “Afghan uniform” armed with a machine gun opened fire on a joint patrol in Afghanistan, the US military has confirmed.

The incident took place in Nangarhar province earlier on Saturday as a combined US and Afghan force was returning from a "key-leader engagement," a spokesman for US forces in Afghanistan said in a late-night statement.

The wounded service members are receiving medical treatment at a US facility, Colonel Sonny Leggett added, sharing no details of their condition.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but given the uniform, there’s a possibility it was an insider "green-on-blue" attack. In addition, both the Taliban and affiliates of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorists are active in Eastern Nangarhar province.

The Trump administration’s agenda vis-à-vis Israel/Palestine has left Jordan in a difficult position. With less room to maneuver as the White House pushes for a “solution” to this conflict that meets the maximalist demands of Israel’s government without securing any rights of Palestinians, officials in Amman see U.S. and Israeli policies as long-term drivers of instability in the Hashemite Kingdom.

Many Arab states have become less insistent that normalization of relations with Israel can only take place if/when a sovereign Palestinian state is established based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. But Jordan — despite being at peace with Israel — remains firmly committed to this stance.

Thus, while determined to maintain Amman’s close relationship with Washington, the Jordanian leadership was also keen to respond quickly to the unveiled “peace plan” last month following the White House ceremony that featured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

On Jan. 28, The Jordan Times published a statement from Jordan’s chief diplomat, stressing that “the national interests of Jordan and its established and unwavering positions and principles toward the Palestinian issue governs the way the government deals with all proposals and initiatives aimed at resolving the conflict.”

Amman’s foreign minister cautioned against “the dangerous consequences of unilateral Israeli measures, such as the annexation of Palestinian lands, the building and expansion of illegal Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian lands, and encroachments on the Holy Sites in Jerusalem, that aim at imposing new realities on the ground.”

NYPD: Officer Shot, Wounded in ‘Assassination Attempt’

NEW YORK—A New York City police officer was wounded by gunfire in the Bronx on Saturday night in what Commissioner Dermot Shea called “an assassination attempt.”

Two uniformed officers were sitting in a locked police van with emergency lights activated when a man approached them and engaged them in conversation just before 8:30 p.m., Shea said. Police believe the man asked the officers for directions before pulling out a gun “without provocation,” the commissioner said. The man fired multiple shots, striking the officer behind the wheel in the chin and neck.

Shea said the bullets narrowly missed the officer’s carotid artery.

“He is lucky to be alive,” Shea said. “He is expected to make a full recovery and it is a miracle.”

Israel escalates trade war by stopping Palestine's agricultural exports

Israel has escalated a trade war with the Palestinians by blocking their exports to world markets through Jordan, Palestinian Agriculture Minister Riyal al-Attari says.

Attari told Voice of Palestine Radio on Saturday that the director of the occupied territories' crossings had informed all exporters and all relevant parties that all Palestinian agriculture products would be banned from export to world markets through the Jordanian crossing.

While the Tel Aviv regime's ban on the export of Palestinian produce was supposed to start on Sunday, the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Economy said in a statement carried by Wafa that several trucks filled with Palestinian agricultural products had already been turned back by Israeli authorities at crossings with Jordan.

The only crossing between the occupied West Bank and Jordan is manned by Israeli forces, which control the entry and exit of people and goods into the occupied Palestinian territory.

The new ban includes olive oil, dates and medicinal herbs. Palestinians export around 60 agriculture products to 100 markets around the world.

The move came after the PA earlier this week announced it was banning a number of Israeli products from entering the Palestinian market, itself in reaction to the decision by Israeli Defense Minister Naftali Bennett on 31 January to halt the import of West Bank products into Israel.
