Bakers are always looking for more bakers.

Baking crew is not one or two, but it is a pretty small gp that bake every day, maybe 6-8. There are also other bakers who show up either when they can or when it's really needed (e.g., e-bake time).

Any suggestions for how to making baking easier, more appealing, less intimidating, etc. would be appreciated. New bakers are always welcome.

Know that if you bake, you will be criticized. Baking is dynamic, so mistakes are common. Shills always take advantage ("baker comp'd!"). Newfags sometimes fall for it and chime in. Or the critique is valid and makes you think. Ouch. But it's a great job–like a baker said in a bred, earlier today,

baking is an adventure!

Bakers are usually glad for a "long baking run" because it means the board is covered for a block of time–which is important if Q posts. Often, a baker has a chunk of time they can spend before or after IRL. The most difficult thing is when no baker can do that and you have to scramble every hour or so for a new baker. Bakers often drop whatever they planned (if possible) in order to ensure coverage, but it's better when that's not necessary.

From an anon's point of view, long baking runs can be a problem when they don't see eye to eye with current baker, espec about notables. This was the main justification for the BO takeoever last June (even tho is was probably shills who were "begging" BO to "do something"–which he certainly did!). Important for both anons and bakers to talk with one another and be open to the other's POV. Bakers are anons but also have a lot of situational awareness about the way the boards runs. That's why learning to bake is valuable–clues you in. But bakers can be set in their ways sometimes. That's a fact. All we can do–all of us–is try to communicate, despite all the barriers.

>At least once a day the pasta for new bakers should be posted

Someone doesn't have to be a baker to post a notice asking for moar bakers. You could do it, too. Anons can also talk about ways to support bakers, which some oldfags do. Clear, more informative posts with descriptive titles (for anon work) make it much easier, for instance.

Appreciate your feedback.
